I purchased this marbling paint set originally from my 10 year old daughter. However I wanted arrived she showed absolutely zero interest in it. I was so excited I've been waiting for days for it to arrive so I opened it up and gave it a try. Wow, everything that you need to always is provided in this set. They even provided the white paper for you to use to put your painting on to. There is some marbling powder that you have to mix with the water and I ended up not using quite as much as what they have recommended to use because I found that it just created these like gelatin substance clear chunks in the water. These chunks would actually get stuck to my paintings as I found out later on. I couldn't find the right combination mixture of the water ratio to the marbling powder that you have to add to your water. They provide a scoop in this kit however after several attempts the scoop is far too large there's way too much marveling dust for the water I had in the tray. I found that I like to use less water in my tray. Some of the colors came out way later than I was expecting and some of the other colors were actually a lot more deep pigmented colors than I was hoping for her but either way I had a lot of fun with this marble painting kit. I have been watching these shows on YouTube for years and so to actually sit down and be able to try and recreate what I have been watching was a blast! I highly recommend these two really anybody who can read basic directions and can handle some water. This isn't rocket scientist level necessary here this is your Basics so don't get it complicated more than it has to be lol. Thumbs up/ this makes a fantastic gift for many of people at different age levels. I am almost 40 and like I said I had a blast and my pictures came out far better than I had expected or thought they would have.

I have used these kits for the kids and now the grandkids. I'm having a hard time waiting for their visit to put this kit to use. It has all the standard items my past kits have had, but more of them, especially the paint and the colors included. The paper and tray are the standard A5 as noted in the listing (not 8.5"x11") and there are 25 sheets. It has 12 vibrant colors that offer almost limitless color combinations. There is no white or black, but there is a very dark purple that will do great for contrast. There are instructions which are brief but thorough. Check out the numerous videos available for design ideas and don't feel limited to the paper included. Try it on rocks, shells, fabric, etc. It is important to allow the solution to develop the right amount of time, but you can speed the process up by using warm water. This is the hardest part of the kit, the waiting. The recommended mix converted to US measurements is one Tablespoon of the powder to one cup (8.5 oz) of warm water. There is probably enough for 3 or 4 mixtures at this rate. The odd thing with the instructions and kit is that there is a small spoon in the package but it is not labelled for the size/measurement. The instructions are a bit confusing as it notes 1 tablespoon weighs 1.25g (I weighed the package at 22 grams which would be 17.6 cups of the solution. I have reached out to see what is correct and what the spoon is for. I will update the review with this information.) UPDATE: Thank you for your question. Yes, one of the white spoon of powder per 250ml of water. The powder of this kit can mix about 11-12 cups of 250ml water, and use the white spoon of this kit. We like to mix two batches and store it in a glass lidded jar while it dissolves. We have put the mixture in a plastic rectangular cake storage container lid as well as a 13x9" glass pan to use for the paint baths so we can have two artists at work at a time. The price at under $19 for hours of creative fun was a deal compared to other kits at the time of my writing this.

My 10-year-old daughter absolutely love this art project!! It was so fun this would be a great gift I'm going to get her a few more to stick under the Christmas tree! Was so great for spending quality time with my kids and I thought it was good quality came with everything I needed!

A nice art kit that I'm sure you can make nice art projects. I just wanted the paints and the paints works out just fine. The grandkids have always loved to color and paint. I will have to buy more sealer with all the items they continue to paint with this kit.

This is a starter kids set, so I wasn’t expecting it to be super high quality, but for what you get it’s a little spendy. All the “tools” are throw away quality. The tray is too small for a average size piece of paper, so if you intend to try to use this after the paper it came with run out, you’ll have to customize paper to fit, which is disappointing. It only came with enough carrageenan powder (the water thickener) for two maybe three mixes. You can however get a fair amount of marbling pulls off of one tray, but the stuff won’t last forever. The paints are nice bright colors, but it’s unfortunate they don’t give you black or white, so you can’t really customize colors that much. The instructions are very rudimentary and if you don’t already have some knowledge about paper marbling, you might experience some unpleasant learning curve in the set up. Carrageenan powder is not simple to mix, it will get into impossible clumps if you don’t mix it very carefully or with some kind of immersion blender. The clumps will negatively affect the marbling process, so you really want to get them out before the set. Paper needs to be treated with a Alum mixture for paints to properly adhere to it, I don’t think the included paper was treated, as the paint only kind of sticks to it. You have to be very careful with your edge drag to not lose your pattern, and any kind of light rinse (which is part of the marbling process usually) will remove medium from your paper in this set.
