    • Arrived with a defect, still ok.
My armor arrived basically unusable in its current state but it won't be a particularly difficult fix if you're even a little crafty. Just thought folks should know. The gorget part of the armor is pretty small. It slots in with two pegs on one half of the gorget and two matching eyelets on the other half that slot into each other and allow you to wear the item. The eyelets and pegs on mine do not even come close to matching up, therefore the front half and back half of the gorget cannot snap together. Due to it being pretty small anyway, I would have needed to replace both and add an adjustable leather strap instead, so its not a huge problem for me personally. If you're of bigger stature than, say, a particularly rotund child, the gorget is gonna be really snug on you. To make matters worse, its also pretty damn sharp. But its supposed to be worn over a gambeson or some other kind of padding anyway so to me, it is excusable. Just make sure to wear something tough underneath it. The segmented arm pieces are pretty good, if a bit thin. Makes an excellent clicky-clacky sound when you move in it and looks just like the pictures. I'm 6'4" and round, and the strap fits Movement while wearing it is slightly restricted, but I'm a pretty big dude so who knows. Definitely also need to note the thick film of grease on the whole thing, undoubtedly to keep it safe in shipping. It kinda did get everywhere though. Can still feel it on my fingers while typing this. All in all, its cheap armor bought on Amazon. You pay for what you get. But its not a scam, at least. Good for a light touch LARPer who needs an accent piece or for a stage production. Do not expect this to hold up to any actual combat, simulated or not. ... show more

I was surprised by how much oil/grease was on this when I opened it. It smelled heavily like diesel. Because of that, I think a lot of the black paint on the inside of the armor starts to flake off. I am planning to wear this to a renaissance fair with a white shirt underneath.. we will see how that goes. There definitely will have to be a lot of adjustments and work done to make it nice. For the price and for what I’ll be using it for (one day at the fair), I think it is an “okay” buy. Photos attached. ... show more

    • Decent looking upon casual view but...
I'll start by saying the seller was very good to work with. However, the product is a bit more "costume" than I wanted/expected. I didn't expect combat quality, but I did expect something that might be able to handle some light activity. Edges around the neck were rolled/rounded, but other outer edges were sharp. The gorget was a bit small around the neck. The fit is loose and will not stay put upon moderate activity. The seller offered to fix it but I didn't want to go through the hassle and it still would have been a bit less than I wanted. Seller refunded the purchase price. ... show more

    • Worth the Money
Arrived early, good quality, besides the black coating on the inside that's flaking off. Also one of the straps was improperly hole punched so I had to punch one manually so the shoulders were even. But for the money is worth it

    • The Construction and Return
So first off, the pauldrons require a lot of work to make usable. The strap that attaches the pauldrons to the gorget wraps around the top of the gorget and is riveted to the bottom of the gorget. That leaves about 6 inches of of the strap free to move around when the pauldrons are attached. What I noticed, when i wore it all, was that the pauldrons would not stay still on my arms and would often slide to the front of my body. According to some other people in the reviews, you'll have to bend the pauldrons to better fit your arms and shoulders. I wasn't about that life and so submitted a return. This has turned out to be a whole other problem. I got a mailing label which is just an empty space for my address, their address filled in, and then a barcode of my return number. There is no prepaid postage on the mailing label. I went ahead and stopped at UPS which quoted me $700+ dollars to ship to India. Told them no and then went to USPS. USPS wanted $90 to ship to India which is almost twice the cost I paid for this item. So I decided that I'll just hold on to them, however, I've already been issued a refund. So as it stands right now I'm kind lost on what to do next. ... show more

    • Small but mighty
I am obsessed with this armor! I was worried when the shipping date was so open ended but it came before it was even expected. I am five foot and fairly petite so I as to add some extra holes for adjustments but other than that it was awesome.
