  • As advertised, better for older kids
It works as advertised, great product. I wish there was a less steep version, it was too scary for the 2 7 year olds I had try it. That would have been made better if we got 2 so we could make it wider, but still they were not ready for it. 10 year olds probably fine. Instead we used it for kids to walk on instead in a fashion show. ... show more

  • Perfect for the little Cru Jones wannabees
I was going to build some ramps for my kids but after pricing out the wood (since I don't have any laying around) I realized it would be much more expensive than I thought, also it would be much more effort than I'd like to put into it since I had a handful of other projects going on. My next idea was to just let them stack bricks/rocks/sticks and place anything flat they could find on them and jump off hoping it stayed in place, just like I did when I was a kid, but then I soon realized I would be the one dealing with injured kids and broken bikes so I went back to the drawing board. That's when I found these ramps and my hopes of a backyard Helltrack were soon revived. Sure they're not cheap but after calculating the cost of wood plus the time/effort I realized this was a great deal. Since they have arrived they have been used by my kids and some from the neighborhood, they all love them. The ramps themselves are really sturdy and plenty wide to instill confidence even at low speeds, I also like how you can add more to them and they can connect to one another. Sure, I've got a ways to go before Cru Jones comes by but at least the kids can do a little bicycle boogie on these til they're old enough for something bigger. ... show more

  • Ramps are perfect - kids, not so much. *Update - kids are better now*
Well, let's start by saying I got this as a Christmas gift for all of my kids (5 to 13). Product is great, awesome quality and durability. I love the fact that you can stack and add to this, maybe if they can learn to use it we will purchase more. I guess bmxing is not in their blood, lol. The 5 year old is scared of it, he can't go fast enough to go up and over it on his bike so he just sits on a mini skateboard and goes down one side of it. The 10 year old can do it. None of the kids will try to jump off of it. If they keep practicing, I'm sure they can do it. It's a little more difficult because we live on a dirt road. But! I have high hopes for the kids and this ramp! Update!!! April 29th, 2021 The kids started getting more and more into skateboards and scooters so I thought, "what the heck, let's get more!" Christmas came around again and they got more. Turns out, my high hopes panned out! The kids love these now and they are still going strong. I'm still recommending these if your kids are brave enough and into skateboarding, bmxing, or scooters! And of course, don't forget their helmets and safety gear. ... show more

  • Landwave Skateboard Starter Kit was Sturdy and of Good Quality
I purchased this for my Nephew. The Landwave Skateboard Starter Kit with 2 Ramps and 1 Deck was a good quality and sturdy enough for the 8 year old to learn both Bike and Skateboard Tricks on for the first time. I have to admit that I even attempted a few bike jumps with success as a 48 yr old : ) The Landwave website shows adults enjoying their products as well. I like the modular design that can be added to in the future. You can stack, reconfigure, lengthen, and design new patterns of ramps and rail with additional Landwave Decks and Ramps. The Modular Pieces lock together, have rubber feet for non-slip, and feel solid once assembled. The Landwave products are a good value for hours and days of outdoor entertainment. • Great skateboard ramp
Bought this product as a Christmas present for my 8 year old grandson, who is an intermediate skateboarder who can handle most bowls, drop ins, and ramps at skateboard parks. Having never bought or seen this product I really didn't know what to expect. The ramp has exceeded our expectations. It is everything LandWave says it is. It is easy for my grandson and his friends to assemble as they have to use it on the sidewalk and take it down and put it away everyday. It is sturdy. It has become the focal point for the neighborhood kids as not only skateboarders use it but razor scooters and bmx bikes take turns too. They can make different configurations with the three pieces so they can try different tricks. It is great for practicing and using when my grandson can't get to the skateboard park. We have only had it two months so don't know how durable it is. so far so good. I highly recommend this item. PS, The product was shipped on time and received as committed. It arrived in two boxes, which were light weight and easy for an adult to move around. It required no assembly other than putting the three pieces together for use which is required every time you use it unless you can just leave it out all the time. The three pieces can easily be stored in the garage or else where. ... show more

  • Fun Ramp!
Bought for my 12 yo son who recently became obsessed with skateboarding. This ramp takes up a bit of room to store in the garage, but the pieces are lightweight enough to easily move around. He has had a lot of fun skating on it. I might also add that during the winter he uses it as a base to create a snow ramp for a small sledding hill. ... show more

  • Landwave Skateboard Starter Kit
We bought this item for our 9 year old son for Christmas. It was shipped in two HUGE boxes, luckily they were inside out so the boxes didn't ruin the surprise. He doesn't use them with a skateboard preferring to utilize his bicycle. Pros: 1) Heavy-weight, sturdy construction -- This is a major plus when it comes to ramps for kids and young adults. They don't bend and flex like some others we checked out, which makes me feel they'll be a lot safer from accidental collapse if they're used frequently. 2) Configurable -- You can put the three pieces which come with the ramps together to form a single unit, or use the ramp components only, or stack them together to make a large jump. Fun for the kids to experiment with. Cons: 1) Heavy-weight, sturdy construction -- Well the heavy weight part at least. They weight quite a bit and make it a little difficult for our son to manuver by himself, so while he can usually pull the out of the backyard, we often have to help him put them away. 2) Could be dangerous, but what isn't to a 9 year old on a mission? Make sure people using it wear a helmut, expect some bumps and buises. Overall: Great value for the money, expandable with additional purchase. ... show more
