I have a little Maltese with long hair in some areas, so a good comb is necessary on a daily basis. I also try to keep her eye area from rusting and have been using a finishing comb (teeth close together like a flea comb) to do that one area because non of the other combs I found were detail oriented enough. This comb now saves me from having to use the finishing comb on her face and a separate comb on her body, the space between teeth is just right. It’s very comfortable to hold and I like having some shorter teeth on the end for smaller areas. The crescent shape really does work well for getting into all the little areas while also doing the job on the main coat. I brush her at least once a day to keep the tangles away and not having to pull out an arsenal of grooming tools every time is nice. Now I just need her pin brush and this comb. I can feel how high quality it is, I know the teeth aren’t going to bend if I’m trying to get through a tangle. I’m confident this will last a very long time. So glad I found this comb! My dog enjoys it too and happily sits on my lap with her head held up while I comb her face and head. She loves it as much as I do. ... show more

This everyday comb is sturdy and seems durable. The all-metal construction feels solid. It is about 7.5" x 1.5" in size and comfortable to hold. I ordered this product to replace the 10-inch comb that I bought without paying attention to the fact that it was 10 inches... The comb is being utilized on my long haired cat that dislikes brushes immensely. She is very sensitive to her hair being pulled. The tines on the 10 inch comb were a little bit big and wide to effectively do the job... that's where the Warren London Copper Crescent Detail Comb (lots of words) comes into effect. Take it slow for the first passthrough - I will only do a couple inches at a time slowly to get any of the initial tangles combed through (first picture shows slight binding). After that, it becomes her favorite thing in the whole world (as you can see in the pictures). Works well for getting the correct angles. Helps get rid of that excess hair that she's holding on to. Our short hair cats also like it. It works for their shedding fur as well. They aren't as picky though, so we can use a brush on them. ... show more

I am not a professional dog groomer. In fairness, so please take my review with that grain of salt, but this is clearly a very well made comb, both in general and for it's particular purpose. I can't imagine I'd be happier with another one of this type. It's exceptionally sturdy. The edges are soft and rounded, my cats love when I comb them with it and even rush to rub up against it. It doesn't bother them even near their face, they seem to enjoy it, although I think this is definitely meant to be a comb for grooming dogs, not shorthaired cats. The only dog in my life currently is shorthaired as well. If you are a groomer or your dog needs a comb for near their eyes/face that won't hurt at all, I highly recommend this one. ... show more

I will preface this review by saying that I've been working with dogs and in the veterinary field for over 50 years. I currently have 4 small breed dogs but have raised and worked with large breed dogs in the past. This is a nice quality grooming comb. The times are well attached and sturdy. They are free of burrs or defects and the workmanship on the comb of a high standard. It glides through the dogs hair very easily without snagging or catching. Grooming your dog goes a lot easier if you get decent quality equipment and this comb helps make it easier. It is great for doing muzzles, tails, and legs.
