Some of the appeal is probably attributed to the quilted insert (purchased separately) but it is a very nice soft duvet cover. The fringe gives it a nice subtle texture that goes with a variety of decor themes. This piece is a great way to feel like you own luxurious resort-style bedding without breaking the bank, and is a nice upgrade if you are used to settling for the bed-in-a-bag sets from big box stores. Just remember that this is only the cover and it will show up looking like a sheet so you have to get an insert to go with it ;)

This is a soft grey and is soft to sleep under. The top has some detail on which I love as it gives the look some depth and is not all flat. Very very happy with this purchase. I did order a king for my queen bed just to have it hang over almost to the floor as it looks more classy in my eyes.

Bought this for our guest room and just used a comforter from amazon to put inside and it looks great. The fabric is soft. The shams are more for accent pillows. I have other pillows I paired with it for sleeping on. The pattern is simple enough that I was able to add some fun accent pillows to go with it.
