Wonderful Book
Our 2 year old grandson is crazy about washing machines and helping with the laundry whenever huh e is at our house. I bought this book hoping he would like it. I was wrong...he LOVES It! The pop-up washing machine at the back of the book is great. He LOVES to put the "dirty" clothes in the washer, and after the machine "eats dirt," he puts the "clean" clothes back into the puzzle. This is a delightful book to add to a child's collection.

Great Rhyming Story with Interactivity
My daughter, when she was 3, received this book as a gift. We read it together at story time for about 18 months. At some point the book was lost. I rebought the book as a valentine's day present for my daughter when she was 5. She was VERY excited to have the book again and even though she is older, she loves to read it with me often.

Pieces missing but not mentioned in the description
I have owned this book in the past but my children lost some pieces to our original book. I ordered this one hoping to replace what we are missing and the book arrived missing the same pieces. It was not mentioned in the description that pieces were missing otherwise I wouldn’t have ordered it.

The description said "Good," but it was Not.
The description of this book said it was in good condition. The washing machine at the end of the story is supposed to pop up and "wash" the clothes. This particular book was missing all the little clothes pieces, and the washing machine was ripped off. If the book is not "good" please do not write that it is. I returned the book immediately.

Wonderful!
This is one of my favorite books in my toddler's rather extensive library. A true delight to read! My 2 1/2 year old daughter has had this book for 5 days and has already memorized it. The story is very simple -- a little girl is a very messy eater, and each time she gets food on her clothes, her mum pops them in the washer, the little girl tells the washer to "eat dirt!" and rumble tumble, the clothes are clean -- but the way it's presented is so perfect. There's a pop up washing machine in the back of the book with press out clothes for the child to toss into the washer. A combination of a simple plot, catchy phrases, alliteration, repetition (but not too much), adorable illustrations, and an interactive surprise at the end of this book create a perfectly delightful reading experience. You will be surprised by how much you enjoy hearing your little one yell "eat dirt!"
