I really like the style of these shelves but manufacturing quality of the metal parts is poor and the design does not lend itself to ease of assembly. The two sets I received had permanent twists in some of the metal arms and the screwed on ones didn't line up nicely. Both of these things make it impossible to get the shelves level. The shelves also do no have holes drilled in them. The seller has said that this allows you to use either side, which is true and it does also allow you to install them where you want relative to the arms. Practically speaking though, this requires a square, a clamp or two and a drill to have any hope of getting them even close to straight/level while also being mindful of the spacing relative to the wall and the skew of the metal arm. If the manufacturing quality problems were fixed and the shelves were pre-drilled, I'd say absolutely get these. With just the quality improvements, I'd be right in the middle of the road where I'm not sure the price and install pains would offset the unique design. Based on communication with the seller and the fact that the metal brackets of a different style of shelves he sent look much better, I'd assume there's a decent chance the manufacturing will improve but you wouldn't know one way or the other until you received them.

Theese shelves are cool I got the corner desighn and it looks great above our bed but the meta peices didnt fit together flushly so when I hung it the shelves weren't even but I could still put things on them it's not a big deal. There are no holes for the screws in the shelves wich seemed strange to me but this also wasnt a big deal I just screwed them right in. The would looks fake and not in a good way I would buy this again because it's so cool and different but it could use some tweeking

Before purchasing we read a lot of reviews saying that this was difficult to put together and the instructions weren't very good. The wife and I are pretty well versed at building things from Ikea so figured this would be no different. The item came quickly, and we really like the design/finish of the wood. What we didn't like was that in fact, the instructions were terrible. Also nothing was pre-drilled. This is so you can turn the boards whichever way you'd like - but it makes installing these accurately very difficult. Simple enough if you have a drill or something right? Wrong! The welds on the arms themselves are very cheap and not straight at all, meaning everything is just a bit crooked. Ended up boxing it up and sending it back. I'd find something that worked better for you.

To be fair, I am relatively inexperienced with electric drills, but I was expecting installation to be easier than it was. Nothing was pre-drilled, and the shelves were so close together that once I had secured some of the shelves, I realized that my drill was too big to be able to drill on the final ones (the bottom of my drill could not fit between the shelves in order to get a straight angle. Even with someone else holding the shelves as I attempted to drill them into place, the bottom left shelf would NOT attach securely and remains loose and wobbly. Furthermore, the directions were not detailed at all. I am disappointed, because the shelf would have looked nice and been very functional. Again, someone more handy than I might find assembly easy for this shelf, but I struggled, and as a result the final product ended up crooked, wobbly, and insecure. If you feel confidant in your drilling skills, go ahead and buy this shelf, but if you're like me and are still learning, maybe look elsewhere.

The shelves look great. They are very sturdy and I do like them a lot. However I am not giving 5 stars just because of the assembly. It was more difficult than I thought it should be. I understand they want you to be able to use the shelves any way you want and therefore the holes are not pre-drilled. This makes it a two person job to hold and drill and line things up. It is a lot of fussy work. I guess I was not expecting that. It was not horrible since I own a drill and know how to use it. The shelves look great on the wall.

I wanted to write to the company before posting a review but no address was provided. It said on the card in the package if you have issues reach out to them but could not find a way to do that. No phone number or email address or website was provided. The shelving piece did not have any markings or predrilled holes or a mention of where the shelves should be attached. As someone putting these together without help I had no idea how or where to put the shelves so they would be uniform. For example 1/2” from the edge. I was nervous to put the holes in the shelf blocks of wood because if they were wrong I was screwed. So summing it up I would not say it was easy to assemble or install. A company should make the directions as detailed and simple as possible. Predrilled holes in the shelf boards would have made it 100% better.

The item was as described and seems solidly built. It assembled easily and looks nice. I had some issues mounting it on the wall, though that was due to the old plaster walls in my home and not any fault of the product. As with other reviewers I do note that there are no pilot holes drilled in the shelves, though frankly with them being covered particle board, the screws went in easily even without drilling. Assembly only took me about 15 minutes. I'm pleased with the purchase.

The shelves for this wall unit are not pre-drilled or marked so you have to basically make a template to make sure they’re all put in the right position and drill pilot holes and then put the screws in. They made it very hard to put the shelves on and for that reason I wouldn’t buy it if I were you.
