Absolutely worth the price. I have had these for a few months now and I have not noticed anything majorly bad with them. As someone with larger ears, after an hour or two they can start being uncomfortable, however it is never painful. More so fatigue. The entire headset is very high quality. The band has a very good compression on your head and is not uncomfortable with a hat. The battery life seems good so far. For outdoor use, these would probably be fine by themselves. However, if you attend indoor ranges, I would suggest doubling up with orange foamies. The electronic hearing is a nice feature. The muffs do a great job at quieting the loud noises while keeping your ability to hear others. Clearly these don't have the highest quality sound but the most important fact is that talking voices rarely get muffled. ... show more

In scuba, the first time you have to take a breath underwater, you’re hesitant. But, then you learn to trust your equipment. It’s the same for these electronic ear muffs at the range. These really work. For the longest time I’d continue to wear my ear plugs underneath my passive ear muffs (even these when I first got them) just to be sure. Last time I went, I just wore these muffs (no plugs underneath), and they worked great! Some guy had a 44 magnum right next to me, and I could feel the concussion of every trigger pull, but my ears were just fine. The coolest thing is that you can still hear normal conversation, and the volume knob lets you dial in how much of that you want to hear. I’ll never go back to the passive muffs. I bought this set for my son. Protecting his hearing is worth the cost for me. ... show more

These are fantastic electronic muffs. The sound amplification is clear and natural, making it easy to carry on a conversation at the range without having to take them off. More importantly, the suppression is spot-on—they react instantly to gunshots, providing great protection without that uncomfortable, jarring feeling. They are very low-profile, which is perfect for getting a good cheek weld on my rifle without the muffs getting in the way of the stock. They are comfortable enough to wear for a few hours at a time, and the battery life has been solid so far. I picked these up on a heavy Black Friday sale and I'm so glad I did. I've been needing something simple and small to carry with me when I go hunting that I could potentially slip on before making a shot to protect my hearing. I knew I wasn't going to carry some big bulky earmuffs but at the same time didn't want to be fiddling with little ear plugs while I have gloves on and potentially have a big buck spook off while I keep dropping ear plugs. These are the perfect answer and just after buying them I put them to use in the field and shot my 1st buck of the season! The blacked out camo looks really cool, the build quality is amazing and the fit is perfect. The earpads can be easily adjusted, and on top of all that is the obvious fact that they are also ELECTRONIC and can be easily turned on and off and volume adjusted on the fly and these give you the ability to still hear through the electronic left and right microphones, but as soon as any loud noise happens the microphones immediately muffle/filter the loud noise so you can hear everything around you but then as soon as you take a shot the loud shot sound isn't loud at all. That's a great feature for hunting and also for range time! These are a great value for the money, super lightweight, function just as intended, look cool, fit and feel great, I highly recommend them. And as mentioned before they address my need for not having something bulky to carry out to the stand I can literally put these in my coverall's chest pocket and pull then out when I get to the stand, no problem.     • Pretty good product, works for what it was advertised for

Nice slim form factor. Works well as hearing protection, even switched off. Passthrough works pretty well as well but it's also the most improvable feature. I tested this with my miter saw, and it definitely allowed me to hear what I was doing without hurting my ears, so that's great. With the passthrough on, there is a noticeable latency in the audio and the sense of directionality is a bit unnatural. In a tactical context I think I would have to practice and get used to locating audio sources while wearing these, it's not going to be 100% intuitive unless you practice it. The passthrough also adds some noticeable digital-sounding audio noise to the audio as well. While the headphone jack is a nice value add, I would say the digital noise artifacts would prevent me from using this for real music enjoyment, so that was a bit disappointing. I also think if the latency was lower on the passthrough, and the noise issue was addressed, they could sell this to more types of customers (for instance, musicians might like something like this for hearing protection during live performances, but as it is the latency is too high.) In sum, this product doesn't go above and beyond what it is advertised to do, but it does definitely meet the bar as far as its narrow intended uses. The Walker’s Razor Slim Electronic Muff exceeded my expectations. They’re lightweight, comfortable to wear for long periods, and provide excellent hearing protection without completely blocking out surrounding sounds. The slim design is a huge advantage because they fit comfortably without feeling bulky or getting in the way. The sound amplification is surprisingly clear and makes conversations and environmental sounds easy to hear while still instantly blocking loud noises like gunshots. The audio quality is crisp with very little static, and the volume controls are simple to use even while wearing gloves. I also appreciate how durable they feel. The headband is comfortable, the ear cushions fit well, and the overall build quality feels solid for the price. Battery life has been great so far, making them reliable for long range days or outdoor use.
