1/18/21: Quick update: So, my collection has nearly doubled :-D I need more storage & I'm seriously considering a 2nd one. Not only has it survived nearly 3 years, as sturdy as day 1, but it survived moving - admittedly, I wasn't very careful (I taped the doors shut & threw it in my backseat with everything still inside - don't judge me lol). It held up better than the 2 flimsy media towers we use for actually storing DVD's (diff brand /seller), since 1 of them snapped in half. For $100, this sturdy little beast exceeded my expectations. 1 other quick comment: Since I wasn't using it for DVD's, the shelves were spaced quite far apart for my needs. I made some DIY "risers" to optimize space, doubling the amount of items I could fit. Had I bought an actual "display cabinet", wall-mounted rack, or something designed specifically for my purposes, I would've paid double, for potentially for less space, or low quality junk. I find getting creative with search efforts - especially when it comes to storage - can give better value for your money (don't fall for "product-specific marketing). This could also be used to display collectibles, POPS Vinyl figures, model cars/Hot Wheels, antiques, or a variety of small items (since CD's & DVD's are becoming obsolete). Just check dimensions!!! And it's a nice looking cabinet that easily matches other furniture in my home. April 2018: Literally just finished putting this together and I'm quite impressed that I managed to do this alone. I'm a small female who isn't very handy - it took maybe an hour to assemble... with distractions. I searched the internet for a month for a solution to organize all of my nail supplies (for approx 80+ colored acrylic jars, gels, etc). I wanted something that looked nice, on a budget, & matched the rest of the furniture. The instructions were comprehensible, it is exactly as described, & was simple to do. In my opinion, some of the negative reviews are either exaggerating, user error, or perhaps the product & instructions were improved/updated. If I can manage putting this together, by myself, anyone can do it lol. This was the best cabinet I found - based on price, size, quality, with glass doors (which was what I really needed)!! It also has magnets to keep the doors closed & a strap on the back, if you wanted to mount it to the wall for extra support (recommended if you have thick carpets - to avoid it tipping over).

I bought two of the black media cabinets (See picture). These are great for the price. Time will tell how long they will stand up to day to day wear and tear but I am happy with the final product. Putting them together was a pain in the butt, but, I'm not going to mark that against the manufacturer. The most difficult part was ensuring the doors were aligned. On one cabinet the doors are slightly off and no matter how many times I tried to adjust them I just couldn't get them to match but it's not very noticeable. If you aren't looking to spend a whole lot of money on media cabinets I would recommend these.

Not bad, not great. The quality of the wood is somewhat better than low-end Chinese particleboard furniture found at Walmart (the stuff which barely has a laminated surface and ends up bowing and coming apart). The main construction of this cabinet was pretty solid and had some heft to it, so if Walmart furniture is an "F", this is a "C-". But for the price and also being made in China, don't expect designer furniture quality. I bought this because I have a DVD collection that I don't really watch anymore but needs to be stored instead of scattered in bins around the house. For that purpose, this storage cabinet looks nice and wasn't terribly expensive so I don't regret buying it. The style will fit in with pretty much any decor, as it's fairly ambiguous, being neither traditional nor contemporary. The glass doors add a nice touch. Installation was straightforward and the instructions were fairly easy to read. I used a bit-driver with two different Phillips head bits and a hammer (for nailing down the thin backing to the cabinet). I think there may be another tool involved, maybe an Allen key, but that comes with the cabinet if I remember correctly. Look, if you're at all handy, this is a joke. I did get screwed up on something because you have to look at the pictures closely and make sure you're orienting things on the right side. You can usually tell in the pictures by where the holes for the wood dowels that you glue the pieces together with are located. There is also a nylon strap on the back that you can nail into a wall to keep the cabinet from falling over. I didn't do this since it sits in a quiet back room but the cabinet actually is pretty thin and I could easily see this falling over if it's in an area accessible by energetic kids, active pets (dogs), etc. I filled up the entire cabinet, literally, and ended up putting some of my blu-rays on top because I ran out of room. Depending on how you organize the shelves (you can move them up or down with metal pins), you can get several shelves for DVD's that have an inch or so of clearance above them, so a few more cases can be squeezed in horizontally. By the way, I paid $73 for this and felt that was a little pricey - $50-60 is probably more fair for what you get. I see that the cabinet is now priced at $90+. At that cost, this is NOT worth buying. Wait until it goes down to what I paid or find something else.

I LOVE love this! I have only had it a few days and everyone that has walked into my place say "I like your new DVD cabinet!" I have to agree. Sure its a tad small but reality with my life is I don't really buy DVDs anymore. It says it fits 100, but you could actually fit a bit more if you lay some on their side. I'm including a picture so you can see what I mean. Someone posted a previous review saying the doors are "frosted" but they are not. They don't say frosted in the description and also by reading other reviews it doesn't look like anyone got frosted doors. I do have to admit though the way they cut the glass adds an extra touch of class to the look. The only negative is the directions; The directions weren't as clear as they could have been and wish companies like this would make them a tad more user friendly. I lay everything out in order, I take it step by step and still I had two errors on putting this together. Overall though; I'm very satisfied and feel that the price (just under $80 off of Amazon) was worth it.
