The media could not be loaded. I received this about a week earlier than expected and just put it together last night. It took about 3hrs by myself. Directions are pretty straight forward and I didn't have any issues. You just have to make sure when you're screwing the side cabinet doors in place you slide them to where you want them in the brackets so they look even when closed. I closed the doors to check position before tightening and adjusted accordingly. All pieces were there and labeled. This stand is so cute and cozy. The electric fireplace is really nice and works like a space heater. There are separate switches so you can turn on flames and heat individually. My 43" TV fits perfectly on the stand with surface space behind it for my router and plug ins. I love it and glad I ordered this one. I definitely recommend. ... show more

Easy to put together, did it by myself, the key is tipping the unit upright slightly earlier than suggested in the directions and I did have to balance half the unit on my left leg while adding the back walls, so if you have another person readily available to assist, it's a good idea. Unit puts out plenty of heat to warm my living room and when I have an actual fire going in the wood stove on colder nights, it's nice to just have the faux fire going on the unit. Unit is sturdy, however, my television is wall mounted and does not sit on this, but there is plenty of room for Blu-ray player and two gaming consoles (Xbox and Wii) in the space above the faux fire. Glass does not get hot, which is another plus since the dogs and cat like to lie in front of it for warmth. ... show more

The original price for this was $489. It was on sale for $188 so I bought it. I would have sent it back had I paid the full amount. It is made of particle board and the finish scratches easily. For $188 it is worth the price. It is plenty sturdy, it looks nice, and the fireplace is pretty and the heat is adequate for a smaller room. Some reviews said it was hard to put together and the instructions were not good. I think maybe they hadn't put many things together. I do it more often and found using instructions to be very good. The process is well thought out and goes in a helpful flow. I put it together myself in about 2 hours but I took my time so I didn't make any mistakes. The media could not be loaded. 1st: I respect the manner the Amazon delivery was made, I can completely understand why the package was left on the stairwell but I even more appreciate the fact it was placed gently and without being pushed or dropped. The package was still in near perfect condition and thankfully I am a decent sized person who was able to bring it up the rest of the way without much issue. Opened the package to inspect, absolutely no damage to the items inside, which was my biggest worry for an item like this because of size and bulk. 2nd: it does take time and patience to assemble, and BIGGEST KEY is placing items in an orderly fashion and reading the directions completely as intended. Once the small stuff is taken care of, the rest falls into place. Just take you time and it will run pretty smoothly. I can't give a definite time range, I was working on it while doing a other times as well, so it didn't have my complete watch of the clock. Though I have not done anything yet with the cabinet area (that will be my project for tomorrow) it was very simply put together without issue. The only thing I can even possibly note would be only one portion was not sized completely perfect, but that is simply cosmetic and not something I will not lose sleep over. 3: I'm absolutely happy with the look of the item when the fire is running, it truly has a peaceful and calming aura to it, and FYI the heat that comes out it very warm. I tested it out just to make sure it was something I could use without an issue. The items above were kept cool which I am so pleased by but wow, it definitely gives satisfying heat to the front, even though it was a little warmer today than would be expected for this time of year in NY, I think this will do its trick when the colder temperatures come in the upcoming weeks. I am just amazed on how it looks, very peaceful! I love reading books via my amazon fire and this is like doing that with a fireplace in the background without having to worry about starting it up, adding the wood and poking it around. Easy to assemble. Works great for our use. Only pit fall is opening in back that my cats get into and need to be helped out of. Works well to heat a space when I do not want to run an entire furnace. Great accent piece and storage unit.

First, PAY ATTENTION to the instructions - there's a part in which it's almost together, and it needs to be stood up. You either need TWO PEOPLE, or to find an alternate way to pick it up, as the first time, the whole thing ripped in half. Fortunately, I was able to get a quick replacement right before Christmas, and once I got it together and properly stood, it's adorable. It fits our TV (MEASURE THE SPACE between your TV's feet!!) just barely, but the stand sits in the corner so nicely. The cupboards are angled, so keep in mind they won't fit a ton, but for a handful of DVDs and games, it's nice. The little fireplace is cute and heats up our living room quite nicely. ... show more
