So, you will want to read more carefully than I did. This does not come with the lumber. So my idiocy aside, all the parts are good quality, solid and durable. All the parts are a coated metal with a good weight, not cheap at all. The instructions seem very easy to follow and once I get the lumber, I know this will be easy to assemble. This is not your regular cheap greenhouse kit. This will no doubt last me for years. Lumber is not cheap, but I think this is a good price overall. ... show more

    • Nice/ requires additional lumber
This greenhouse is quite nice once fully built. I would say the most important thing to keep in mind is how much additional lumber and tools are needed to build this. ($60-$80 if you don’t have scrap lumber on hand) This kit is basically the plans , the cover and the support brackets. The main part of the frame and shelves are added items you will need to purchase. This also suggests bolting into a concrete base or some type of frame flooring for structural stability. The frame is made up of 16 2 x2 x8 boards. I used a 2x4 ripped in half and adjusted the measurement to fit. For the shelves you need 4 @12x 35 ply or other. I had some old dog ear fence boards so I went with the slat style shelving and cut to size. I originally had this placed on an open area of the yard without a floor, but the wind knocked it right over, so I went with a slat 2x4 frame to allow drainage and easy clean up. It is holding up nicely in the wind so far. The overall size is great and the interior gets pretty warm making it a perfect space for seedlings. There is plenty of space to comfortably move around and work with the plants. The cover feels like a good thickness and fits the framework well.     • Solid kit for those with basic carpentry skills.
This is a very solid kit and a good value for someone with basic carpentry skills. You will need to have the knowledge and the tools necessary to make accurate cuts on standard-size lumber. You will also need to be able to follow instructions. This kit came with the diagram, outer greenhouse liner, and all of the metal brackets needed to frame out this small greenhouse. I ordered this greenhouse to start seedlings a bit early this spring. I would suggest taking the liner off after each planting season to extend the life of it. ... show more

I don't have the wood yet so I can't put it together, but all of the pieces are here and it looks like high quality metal and PVC. The instructions are clear. All of the pieces are marked clearly with stickers so you know which piece is what. This includes the mounting brackets, screws, and the greenhouse cover, but you will have to get the lumber separately. The assembly instructions are included as photos in my review above. You will also need some other tools--most importantly some sort of saw to cut the pieces to size and a drill for the screws. It requests 16 pieces of 8 feet long 2x2 dimensional lumber. (Note: the actual measured dimensions for 2x2 dimensional lumber is around 1.5x1.5 inches.) I checked it against a piece of 2x2 I had lying around and it fits as expected. For me, the lumber will cost substantially more than this kit by itself, so factor that in before purchase. I have 2x2 pine furring strips, but pine will likely not last very long in a humid greenhouse environment. Cedar and redwood are available here, but much more pricy and makes it not worthwhile for me. Your local lumber situation may be different. Overall, it's a decent kit, but you have to source your own lumber and should consider that as a key factor in your decision. ... show more

    • Easy to build, just add lumber!
This little greenhouse is a great size if you don't have a lot of room. All the brackets and fittings are heavy duty! The plastic is very thick. You need to purchase 8 2x2x8 boards, they run about $3.50 each. It comes with easy to follow assembly instructions. I only wish the manufacturer would have put vents in the plastic but its easy enough to open the door for circulation or if your handy I'm sure it could be altered easily. This is about the worst waste of money I think I would ever have spent. I Totally missed the fact that you had to supply your lumber for this, other GH for the same price at least come with a metal frame. Yes it may be more sturdy but Lumber is so expensive in my area this isn't even going to really be worth it i will have builts a 200 dollar GH when I could have gotten the whole kit at HD for a way lower price. Just very disappointed. Other than that the tarp or cover is a nice grade and it does have openings on both sides if you wanted to extend it in some way. Just wish that they would have sent you the metal frame and then if you wanted to be adventurous and DIY you can choose to do that on your own. But for this cost you can get the entire kit and not have to worry about the lumber. ... show more

    • My fault, but not what I expected.
I guess I should have dug deeper into exactly what comes in this kit, but since it was a free trial product, I just grabbed it. So, assuming I paid the full $70, what you get is a bunch of metal brackets, a bunch of screws, a pretty well sewn vinyl cover (roll up door), and an easy to follow set of plans. What I did not factor in was the 16 2x2x8's I would need to buy, the shelving material, and some sort of floor/base. Cheap wood won't work in the humid environment, so you are looking at at least $150 worth of wood, plus$100 worth of quality shelf material, and another $100 for some sort of floor/base. I estimate about $400 all-in to build this. I live in rural Hawaii, so the "greenhouse effect" of the vinyl is not needed as much as protection from varmints and wind. With all that being said, if I really would have stopped to think about it I probably could have built a larger one, with a real door, and screened sections for ventilation for the same price. ... show more
