Not an issue at all and does not affect the job you are doing in the least. Sharp enough to break through ice in one jab straight down. I was able to get through multiple inches of ice in three strikes. I live in Michigan and was looking for something to use on the ice after it melts and refreezes and areas of snow that get packed down after it is driven on in our driveway. I am a woman over 50 and it is light in weight and easy to manage, while breaking through the ice and packed snow with ease. The size is wide enough to cut through ice with ease without having it too wide to add more weight and makes it easier if you have a smaller area to work with like the curb area. I was able use it as a scraper on the driveway as well. Scraped the tire marks that had compacted the snow with ease and came right off. If you live in an area with snow than this is a must have if you want to completely clear your driveway. My new favorite toy while blowing, shoveling, clearing the driveway. Only with I had it sooner! Recommending this one to all my neighbors!

I had to remove ice from my driveway this past winter and I didn't have anything that could make it through the 3-4 inches of ice. I purchased this as I saw the person I hired to clear my driveway using one. He was able to clear 3/4 of the ice from my driveway and I was able to clear the remaining ice.

The 3-piece handle was quickly assembled, and the blade was easily attached to the handle with the bolts, lock nuts and hand tools that were supplied though I used my own hex driver and open-ended wrench. After a recent mild ice storm, the ice scraper readily broke up the ice and the clean-up was much faster using the 9" blade than my old 6 inch one.

Wow and wow! This scraper gets the job done! It’s high quality. I was worried about it being in three pieces but all I’ve had to do is tighten it up a few times during use. It removes the snow that has been packed down by the suv. It’s easy to use and an amazing value for the money. We have the worst ice problem known to man at the bottom of our driveway way. I use another heavy duty brand to chop with because this one is not really meant for chopping although it can. I’ve added a picture of the chopper I bought on Amazon. I highly recommend having both of them. This was a great purchase. Would buy it again.

Our driveway turned into a skating rink. This tool is tough. I was able to get much of the thin ice broken up. I don’t know what it will take for the thicker ice. At least I have something. Maybe I need to a jack hammer.
