Wow this rug feels so good under my bare feet I just want to stand on it and scrunch my toes in its softness. The pile is thick and soft and it is washable in my machine. It doesn't have that "old school" rubber backing on it so you won't find bits and pieces in the washer after but it does have a non-slip backing that works pretty well. The color is darker than it looks in the listing and even in the picture I took for this review - I actually like the super dark purple so much better that I'm going to buy a whole set. I thought it was black in the package when I first got it. It's gorgeous! Absorbs well too and feels well made and durable. Can you tell I'm really happy with this rug?! ... show more

See my towel review to enjoy my purchasing saga. Face cloth for reference. Rug color seemed lighter online, towel color looked deeper online. I have not washed the rugs yet, so durability is not known. The rug has a rubber backing and seems non-slip and it lays flat on the floor fine.
