This does a good job. It's easy to use, provided you water the lawn the night before to soften it up. Assembly was easy. It came with two extra tines/spikes, which suggests they can get damaged, but I appreciate the replacements. Aerating manually is inexpensive but time consuming. I wouldn't want to use this or similar products for especially large lawns, but I think it's very workable for typical suburban lawns and smaller. The product seems sturdy and well built.

Sturdy, well made, does the job. Keep in mind this is a manual process. It's hard work. This tool makes the effort doable but it will take time. But it is built for the purpose and the only thing that would have made it five stars in my opinion would have been someway to store it or protect the spikes.

This is a really well built item. I love that they include extra spikes in case you have a failure of some sort. It's very easy to put together and seems like it would last a long time. The only issue I have is the fact that I underestimated how large my yard was and the time this type of aerator would take to complete a full first time aeration. The spikes easily went into my moist ground but it gets labor intensive after awhile because of it's smallish footprint.. I would recommend this type more for small areas or touch-ups than full yard aeration. I see Walansee has a roller type that might fit my needs better. I would definitely recommend this just understand it's usage.

The product is good to loosen the soil but may not fully serve the purpose of areation. The spikes are very thin and hardly leave space in the soil. The holes get closed immediately after pulling out the tool and watering just once. The tool is good to be used to loosen the soil and till for sowing purposes, but I would not recommend it for aeration of lawns.

This thing was great. I used it on my 900 sq. ft. lawn where the ground was pretty solid in some places. It did the trick and did not break. It takes work; it will tire out your legs! But the product did exactly what it was supposed to do and did not fail.

Very well made product. All metal construction and very simple to put together. A few extra spikes are included if you break or lose one. Perfect for aeration of dry sections of your yard and took me around 30 minutes to cover the dying spots in my yard that are on an incline and struggle to hold water. Definitely recommend.

It is very sturdy. We have very dry and rocky ground so I do wish the handle was more comfortable. But it works well. It looks just like the photo. We haven’t experience any clogging or it getting stuck in the ground, but that could be more related to how rocky our yard it. It is time consuming to use but it works!
