I like this. It's exactly what I anticipated receiving. It's a simple ceramic mug with a silicone sleeve instead of a handle. It's not double walled, so it does get hot when you put boiling water into it. It cools to a comfortable temp fairly quickly. It has a basic lid that is not leak proof, but protects you from splashes or dribbles. I wouldn't recommend giving it to kids or using it while you base jump, but if you're making yourself a nice cup of tea to sit down and enjoy, this is a very cute and comfortable mug. ... show more

I bought this mug six years ago and have used it pretty consistently since then. It still looks perfect. And I get happy when I use it. I see an lot of complaints on here about heat retention. This is not an insulated mug. It's just a cute ceramic coffee mug with a silicone cover that makes it easy to hold. This company does have heat-trapping tumblers, but these are just mugs. As it says in the description. So it seems silly to complain about something not being an entirely different product. ... show more

Its beautiful to look at, I got the ivory color one. It looks great with my other cups in the kitchen because being ceramic and color and design. Did I mention? It is VERY soft to the touch. Perfect for cold drinks. It fits in the car cup holder and it is the perfect size for my lunch bag. I love the ceramic feel on my lips, I dislike stainless steel. Problems are: How hot it gets with coffee/tea, heat retention and leakage. When I drink tea or coffee, I can’t hold it until the drink cools off somewhat. It burns my hands. Once the drink cools off some, I love to hold it because it is super soft on the outside. My lid leaks too. ... show more

I needed to replace a freebie microwaveable plastic small coffee cup with a lid that I received at a meeting registration about 25 years ago that I left in a motel room somewhere. After quite a bit of searching on the web (not many microwaveable cups with lids out there), and even though pricey, I chose the ceramic mug with silicone sleeve. It was not a good replacement for my freebie coffee cup. The ceramic mug is heavy; about the weight of the average beer stein: not a backpacking item. The opening on the bottom of the mug between the ceramic container and the silicone sleeve sucks-up water in a capillary fashion and proceeds to slowly bleed that water back out as the cup is used. So, I would recommend against submersing the cup. After microwaving, the mug is quite warm on the outside. This is to be expected, I suppose, but with no coffee cup-type handle, it's a little uncomfortable to hold the mug just out of the microwave. On the upside, the lid works well, and the mug is microwavable and keeps the coffee hot. I may use the mug again or park it long-term in the back of my cupboard. ... show more

It's scalding extremely hot when first pour it. And it cools down very quickly – my regular home mug holds the same amount of heat. Amazing design, soft materials. But, rubber sleeve edge is poorly cut which spoils the overall impression.

Got this to use with the coffee/tea machine at my office that only works with shorter mugs because we are encouraged to use mugs with a lid and I did not want to use a disposable mug every day. I have been very happy with this product. It holds 9 ounces of tea, keeps it warm for several hours while also insulating to protect my hands from the heat, and prevents splashes when I walk. I originally bought a pink terrazzo 16 oz tumbler but ended up returning it because I really wanted the cream terrazzo which was out of stock at the time. Glad I did. I ordered the cream when it was back in stock and I think is a bit thicker and more substantial compared to the pink. A lot of reviews mention that it is thin and gets really hot when pouring tea water in. Hopefully this new batch is a little better about that. I use it primarily for coffee so that is not an issue for me. I wanted a portable mug that was ceramic and microwaveable which is surprisingly hard to find. This checks all my boxes so I am happy with it. I don’t have a dishwasher and it has held up well with hand washing. I try to avoid using metal spoons to stir my drinks because they mildly scratch the bottom. I use chopsticks as an easy substitute. Other reviewers who marked it lower have legitimate complaints (especially for the price) but for my intended use the mug is attractive and functional. ... show more
