  • Setup was challenging, but bath seems to work well
The short version is that (A) setup was a bit difficult and didn't go quite to plan, but (B) the bath seems to work well after being set up. Setting this up was moderately easy because I was willing to improvise when things didn't go exactly to plan, but if you're the sort of person who gets stressed out when instructions are unclear or don't work exactly as expected, this could be frustrating or difficult to assemble. The instructions were printed right on the box, and another set of instructions, written differently, were inside the box. The version inside the box was confusingly worded and had grainy pictures, but I was able to combine the two sets of instructions to understand what I needed to do. Some of the details below might not be completely clear unless you actually have the tub, but hopefully they'll be useful to anyone who's struggling to assemble the tub. The instructions call for using "splicing tubes" to join sets of tubes together. The splicing tubes weren't quite snug enough on the tubes they connected, so when I tried sliding the tubes into the vertical sleeves, the splicing tubes got stuck just inside the entrance of the sleeve. I took out the stuck tube, repositioned the other tubes inside the splicing tube, and duct taped them all together. I did the same for the thin tubes that form the top ring of the tub. The accordion tube that connects to the faucet didn't slide on the faucet end easily - it was actually pretty difficult to work it on. I was able to gradually ease it onto the end of the faucet, but then the accordion tube split and fell off. I decided to try with the other end. First I ran the accordion tube end under hot water, hoping that would expand it slightly. I couldn't tell if that helped, but I was able to work the unbroken end onto the faucet. I didn't try pushing it *all* the way on, since I didn't want to break it again. I slid it only about a centimeter on, then dried off the outside with a towel, and duct taped them together, as well. Once we used it, it worked well! Despite the slight difficulties setting it up, I'm glad I bought it, and we'll get a lot of use out of it. ... show more

  • One thing could make huge improvement
The width and height of this tub was nice and the water stayed warm much longer than i expected. The top supports around the top worked well, they started bending after a while but still worked just fine. The thing that could be a total gamechanger for me would have been if the side support poles had been one piece rather than two poles and the sleeve thing (?) that held them together. When I'd fold up the tub, they'd come apart and I'd have to fish out the top half from the tub. I should have just glued them together. After a year, the support poles began breaking through the top and could not support the sides anymore. The tub covered up my center drain but to make it work, I'd stick a bottle of shampoo under the side of the tub so that it created a little tunnel for the water to get out of the drain, and the water was able to get out. I tried centering the bottom drain over my floor drain but it created too tight of a seal and the water wouldn't drain out. ... show more

  • It works! Surprisingly. It's a bargain for what it is. It deserves to be commended
Tldr or Long story short: its worth it. For what it is. I miss the hot tub experiance and it seems to me that the only way for me to get something like that if you don't have a tub in your home, is to buy an expensive hottub that you might not use, or spend some money going to a commercial hot facility like spa castle where you get to deal with people.. It's expensive and annoying either way. Buying a hottub also requires maintenance and time.. So coming Into this and seeing the reviews, well it's easy to fool me. I thought to myself while I was setting this up, that this was another one of those buys that was stupid and for me to actually take some time next time to think these through . It was cheap either way. It kinda feels cheap, like those blowup floaties. Smells like it too. Pleasantly suprised... That it works! Just got to be careful with it. I haven't sat in it yet. Still skeptical it can handle hot Temps. There's not much info from the manufacturer on the limits of this thing. So ima assume it should be able to handle hot Temps atleast ONCE.. But for what it is. The value. It Doesn't even matter if this thing only worked one time and broke after that, it's still a return on value. I'm keeping it filled for a little while with warm water so it can stretch out. It does leak. Right by that tap. And thats where the reality is. The gasket isn't good enough to keep the outward pressure contained. For repeated use it might fail completely. You see how much water is in that thing if it just collapses LOL . My entire bathroom would be flooded I aint got it enough towels for that kind of deluge. But it's holding. Really suprised honestly. Maybe with some modifications it's quite possible to make this alot better and longer lasting. I'll update after I use it tonight. ... show more
