Features

  • This is a CAST vinyl with a hyper-realistic carbon fiber look. This durable film provides a lightweight, economical alternative to paint.
  • At 3.9mils in thickness, the film will stretch and conform to any shape and is thick enough that discoloration, stretch marks and other visible defects when wrapping are kept to a minimum.
  • The acrylic-based adhesive backing features VViViD Air Release and Heat Fuse technologies for ease of installation. Never worry about bubbles or creases when wrapping!
  • Application: Dry. Adhesive : Solvent-based, repositionable, permanent adhesive. Life: This vinyl is expected to easily last 5-7 years indoors. (For interior applications only!)
  • This Vinyl can be installed using 3M 94 Primer and 3M Edge sealer, these are not mandatory, these products will promote adhesion and add life to your vinyl. The sealer or primer will not remove the glue, deform the vinyl or ruin the texture unlike cheaper quality films.

I own a 2019 Honda CRV. I absolutely hated the fake wood paneling. I've never worked with vinyl before. I watched a singular video on how to apply this specific vinyl. Another review complained that the vinyl was too sticky. I do not share this sentiment. I was able to pull it off and reapply as needed. I used a heat gun to form the edges and make them stick down after I trimmed. I also prepped using alcohol. Another review said the bubbles were an issue for them. However, I noticed that it really depending on how you lay the vinyl down. Doing it in sections and smoothing it from the middle out resulted in zero bubbles. Overall, any issues I had were user error. I'm also a female with long nails, so that didn't help. The nails part not the female part. Ha ha. But still, I'm really happy with how it turned out and it was far cheaper than getting the stick on overlay. 10/10 would recommend. Definitely get extra for any accidental ripping. (Heating and pulling too much. Just be easy and slow) ... show more

Plenty of material for my project

  • Actual color is rather dull than shiny
Size: 1FT X 5FT
First of all I want to start off that the color is rather dull not as shiny/bright as it looks on the photos on Amazon. So I don’t really like it. Even the photos that I took myself do not represent the real color. Regards the application: This was my very first time, besides small stereo button, applying vinyl to a complicated piece. I somewhat purposefully wanted to do so, to understand how the material works and how much I can stretch it etc. So I learned a lot. It does stick well, maybe too well, it did pull off some of the finish but mine was already bad so I did not care, and once you get your bubbles out, they stay out. Negative side is, that it does stretch quite a bit but it will not hold. I later learned that actually it is not the so great idea to stretch the vinyl, it’s better to do inlays and overlays if you are dealing with big curves. It did made sense after my experience. I think my first try is actually acceptable, so I’m very encouraged to do it again and apply the Burgundy color from the same company what I like. And again Burgundy Vinyl based by their photos looks a lot darker then it is, so the shade actually is something that I absolutely love. ... show more

  • Stay Away
Size: 1FT X 5FT
Vvivid deleted my review on their website so I'm posting on Amazon. I can't believe the lengths this company goes to, they can't take critical feedback. This is a review for the Premium +, not XPO. Pros: Overall, Vvivid has stepped up their game from XPO. The colors have depth and sophistication. The matte metallic's have the depth of OEM car paint because of the ghost particles. The air egress technology is a lot better than XPO as well. You can push down on air bubble and gone it goes. The Premium line up can also be wrapped over parking sensors based on other reviews. On my 328i comfort access doors, I could wrap around the door handles, and the tech would work perfectly. On XPO, this couldn't happen, not sure but this might be a Vvivid exclusive? Lastly, Vvivid's vinyl is a bit more brittle making it easier to cut after you've applied. They have Avery beat there. That's where the pro's end. Where Vvivid really loses out is in the installation. It's a horrible process. The initial tack is too strong for the installer to glass out. I found myself redoing each section that I had already covered and squeegee'ed. If you watch CK Wraps on Youtube, ( a big Vvivid endorser whose probably sponsored by them) he also has this issue. You'll see him go over again and again the same spots to get glass because the tack is so strong. I also bought a tack reducer to no avail. The tack reducer works, but you are still redoing area's you've already finished. It's a frustrating process, I haven't had this experience using Avery, 3M is a bit similar, but I don't remember the tack as strong as Vvivid's. I've also never had to use a heat gun as much as I have on Vvivid's. I had Avery Dennison car previously. It went on like a dream. Pressure sensitive adhesive and far more stretch capacity than Vvivid. VVivid's carbon fiber tore when I tried glass it out (Others have reviewed the same on this very site as well). I spent around ~$400 in total to wrap my 3 series. I regret taking down the Avery Dennison vinyl as I wasted ~ 25ft on just the hood itself. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend it. If you have lots of time on your hands and don't want to pay a premium go Vvivid. They've got good colors, but you'll stress out so much on the installation. Other professional installers in my area have said the same. I'm taking my money back to Avery. Also, after deleting my review before letting me send them my order #'s was bad form and a slap in the face to a customer. I don't see why I'd buy from them again. ... show more

  • It’s ok, avoid the sun
Size: 1FT X 5FT
This wrap is ok, not the greatest in the sun however. It will fade over time if the sun hits it. For the price it was a good value buy. Fairly easy to install if you have a little bit of experience working with any kind of vinyl wraps.

  • Not reccomended as couples therapy for 1st time installers though.
Size: 1FT X 5FT
Step 1: watch a bunch of vinyl wrap hood install videos (they're mostly on flat hoods w/o vent holes) step 2: re-watch for tricks and tips. Step 3: Flush all that info and then listen to your designer and pattern maker wife on how to cut and install. life will be better as will the end result. Oh, the wrap itself is good stuff and looks great. use water or the recommended solutions to help with application for easier adjusting. its pretty sticky to work with when dry. Will shrink some and open a gap if you mess up and cut thru both sheets on an overlay install. Bought the red to cut to 3/4" strip to cover some small cut thru gaps and outline the blue. Will upload additional pics when that is done. ... show more
