I purchased the VVIVID XPO Vinyl to wrap the trunk of my 2015 WRX. Overall I was very pleased with the item. I am inclined to think most of my problems came from user error other then product failure. That being said, Below is my breakdown based on what I was looking for in the product; Packaging/Shipping: The vinyl came within two days in a full roll. I know there were some concerns for the sheet coming folded. This was not the case and the roll was crease-less. Open the box for the first time outdoors however. The bottled up vinyl smell is a bit strong when the product is first opened up. Product Quality: My first thought was "Wow this is more stiff then I expected". Most of this stiffness is due to the backing paper. The carbon fiber is more of a raw texture giving it a matte finish. It still has a great look, just not as glossy as real carbon fiber parts. This is all a look preference though. I think it looks better with less gloss. Ease of Use/Installation: This is a mixed bag for me. If one has a smooth, semi flat to flat surface, then installation is a breeze. I started on the top of my trunk and that was a quick as anything to install. The vinyl is super forgiving and very easy to push bubbles through. My trouble come with the turn down to the back side of the trunk. The vinyl is nice in that it is heat activated. This allows one to pull up and re-position many times with no issues. I had to pull up and place the back a few times and one of them used too much force. This resulted in a tear in the vinyl. At this point I had to scrap the back of the trunk and just do the top. Like I said, this tear was most likely my own error. Overall, I thought it was very easy to use if one is patient with it. Durability: The installation was about 4 weeks ago and the product is holding up just like the day I installed it. Some bubbles will appear days after the install as it is baking in the sun. All one needs to do is rub them and the air release tech will do the rest. Overall: Really great product. I actually plan on purchasing more to wrap my roof and hood. Looks great from any angle. I have had a few people ask about it already because it looks so good. Five stars based on the fact that I was a complete beginner and was still able to do a professional looking job. High quality carbon fiber wrap, VViViD is some of the best vinyl out there, but this stuff is VERY thick. The pattern is a physical texture on the vinyl itself which makes it really difficult to stretch, even under heat. I made the mistake of using this to learn how to wrap with on my interior to do some silver plastic delete and it has been INCREDIBLY difficult to work with. However! The results look and feel FANTASTIC if you can be patient. Get ready to work on each piece for at LEAST an hour, if not more. Some pieces took multiple hours and multiple attempts and even on the second attempt it's still not right. Buy 2x the amount you plan to use because you're going to absolutely tear this stuff and throw a lot of failed attempts out. It also has some issues adhering (on very thin areas, because it's so stiff). The top two corners in my center console job shown below eventually bubbled back up and tore (and this was the second attempt). ... show more

Anyone who gives this less than 4 stars probably has no experience is vinyl wrapping. it’s all you can ask for while being a good affordable price! very good to work with and sticks very well on a cleaned surface

We LOVE carbon fiber in this house, it's so modern and high-tech looking on anything it's applied to! I was so happy when I found this, it's so cheap, and so easy to apply, I hate looking for phone cases and not finding any carbon fiber options, and I hate buying something that's internally great, but with a ugly exterior, this wrap has fixed that! It's such a nice shiny color, and it's so easy to apply, wrinkles are easy to fix and its sooo easy to stretch over something like an earbud case. Thankfully it doesn't take too much heat to get it ready or to set it because I even wrapped my bare phone with it (probably wasn't a good idea but I was exited) and it was fine! didn't even trip the heat warning! It's so easy to keep clean too, it's smooth and the texture is nice and sleek. And so much bang for your buck, with just 20$ I have enough wrap to wrap basically anything I want for a longgg time. I used this same wrap on both my Model 3 and Model Y dashboards (bought a couple of the 5ft x 1ft rolls), as you can see in my attached pictures. What I really liked about this carbon fiber vinyl wrap was the luster & texture (which perfectly matched the Abstract console wraps I had on each car), and the direction of the carbon weave was the same as the console wraps. I wanted to make sure the weave was all going in the same direction in the car. Installing the vinyl on my Model 3 dash was my first time ever installing any vinyl wrap, and it came out 95% perfect in my opinion. On my Model Y dash, it came out 99% perfect since I knew how to wrap it better and what to expect. Using a heat gun lightly on the vinyl really makes it very pliable and easy to work with around corners. No need to stretch the carbon weave as it'll bend & curve around corners and keep a clean uniform look when it's heated up a little bit. One tip for people installing this on their Tesla dashboards over the wood trim is to use some adhesive promoter on the corners of the wood dash trim. That will keep the vinyl stuck to the trim so it won't lift or peel off over time. If I had something negative to say about it, which really isn't a negative thing but me being picky, is that the 'dry carbon' look still has a slight sheen to it and this makes it look really good in person, but depending on how sunny it is outside and how the sun is shining down through the windshield you may see some reflection in the side windows (especially when you have tinted side windows). It's actually not distracting at all, and way less distracting than the actual wood trim or the white dash panel (if you have the white interior) reflecting off of the windows. ... show more

Sticks and goes on well just came with wrinkles and a few areas were damaged before I even used it and took it out the package takes a while to put on if your learning corners feel impossible even with a heater to make it stretch it just doesn’t turn out that good it’s a good woven texture and looks good from afar and close it’s not too thick but any curves ur gona need to heat it up ... show more

I feel the bad reviews may be from people that dont know how to apply wrap. Spray with soapy water mix, heatgun the heck out of it, stretch, apply, strech and mold around corners and edges, squeegee, heat again if necessary, hold till it cools, and finally, trim with extremely sharp blade. This is outstanding film and the CF texture matches my Teslas dry CF everywhere else. Five stars, I'll come back and edit this if it doesn't hold up over time. ... show more
