Recently ive been purchasing parts to build a pc. The overall color theme of this build is blue, but I wasnt exactly too keen on the thought of painting the components as youre limited to that one specific color as well as a host of other nuisances like if you have to return something because its defective, or if you later down the line decide to sell it, etc. So I wanted an easy way to customize my pc without having to go out and buy paint supplies like filtered mask, spray paint and things of that nature. Best solution I found? VViVid vinyls. They have various colors as well as material looks (brushed metal, carbon fiber, plain color, high gloss. Just to name a few) and the best part is that the vinyl actually has some sort of air release technology that allows you to apply the vinyl to a surface and get rid of air bubbles incredibly easily. I personally used my roll for applying the vinyl to some SSD's and I love the look so much I might even start applying it to some of the parts inside the chassis of my pc case for that full brushed metal aesthetic.

It color and texture was spot on. The only thing was it came in and 3 inches of the 12inch wide roll was damaged. But amazon customer service did an excellent job in resolving the issue.

Using 3M or Avery materials for a long time, I tried this for wrapping some parts of my big toolbox, specifically the handles. I had some old 3M wrap on them and man, was it tough to remove!! I put this on, and messed up one, and went to peel it off, and it came off like a wet paper towel. Good for maybe flat surfaces, but if you went to do anything with a concave surface, youll be in for a bad time. Looks awesome, just needs to be stickier.

Looks awesome and actually is textured heavily. Brushed grooves are pretty deep. Very cool. My only issue is what I tried to out it on. A motorcycle gas tank. All the stretching made the grooves distort as I stretched some areas more than others. Definitely not the products fault. I was stretching HEAVILY to go around the tapering side of the tank. All other parts wrapped well and made me so mad I couldn't get the tank right. Would have been awesome.

Used a vinyl cutter to make custom door sill guards with this. Turned out really good! Cuts well and looks really professional! If you are planning on using it to make custom decals, the finish on the vinyl prevents it from adhering to the transfer paper but with a bit of patience, it can be done. I have purchased multiple Vvivid vinyl products and they are always top notch!

This vinyl material gets it's brushed metallic effect from micro ridges cast in the surface texture. depending on which way these ridges run, you will get very different light effects on the wrapped surface. This means that for a large project like a full car there may be a lot of waste to get a good looking result. I also noted that the material surface marks very easily and so may not be suitable for everyone..

Pros: Hands down the product feel is up to par. A good amount of thickness and a great smooth velvety surface all around. Takes a great deal of heat before burning a hole in it. Con: The adhesive on the back is on the weak side. At least that's my experience with using on a plastic key fob. Hard to adhere to surfaces, used heat gun to almost force to keep in place. Overall, probably best for flat surfaces.

I love this material. It looks really close to brushed metal in look. It was challenging to use, but the results where amazing. If you know how to make glass, this a good material. If you don't know what that means, you'll be frustrated, but that's on you. Having challenges with the very curved surface, but over all works well. Make sure you sand and clean the surface though.

Great look and feel! I got to fool industrial designers into thinking that foam core pieces were actually anodized aluminum which was A) super funny and B) very surprising. The only thing is that this vinyl HATES the heat gun. I don't know if it is because of the texture and the variation in material thickness but you have to be VERY careful when using the heat gun to apply this vinyl.

ordered the blue brushed aluminum, it didn't have that brushed look. Its more of a matte blue. It doesn't look like the picture. Other than the color/texture being not what i hoped the vinyl itself is good quality and works as advertised.

I bought this vinyl to add some color to my car's interior. When the roll first arrived, it appeared brighter than I thought it would be. I paid someone to do the wrapping, and I was pleased with the results. EDIT: I have added some photos of the trim while the car is in the garage. It is a much more vibrant blue when in direct sunlight.
