This is not an adhesive vinyl, but a cloth type vinyl which was what I needed. This is the second carbon fiber vinyl material I have purchased, the first one was a different brand. I was happy with the first one I bought, until I ordered this I e and saw how much better it looks. Good sturdy material. I don't know why the fabric stores don't carry this product, because it can be used for so many craft projects. It's not the heavy bulky stock. I used a 100/16 needle with it and it held up just fine; I even put it through a serger. I used it as the soles of a pair of slipper I made, and yes, it is waterproof. And you get a lot of it for a very reasonable price. It comes in various colors, therefore I will be ordering more in different colors for other craft/sewing projects I have planned. ... show more

This makes for a fantastic motorcycle seat cover. Bought a seat pan for my 2000 ZR-7, built up custom foam and was able to cover it with the 1.5' x 54" piece. Being my first fabric related project I was a little worried about using the "guess and check" method for the seat cover cause I just didn't know what would work. This seemed like it was a solid product and I am happy with the result! If you look at the picture you can see it even sews pretty well! It sticks just like any vinyl seat cover would but you can use masking tape on the standard metal presser foot to reduce friction. Considering this was my first sewing project ever, I was very happy with the result using this material. Only reason I give 4 stars (instead of 5) is that I was a little disappointed that it was only 17.5" rather than the 18" (1.5') the description says. Keep this in mind if you think your application will be tight. What saved me for my application was it's ability to stretch! I could make up that half inch pretty well. ... show more

This stuff is easy to work with. I was able to rescue this 1997 office chair from going to the dumpster. The seat vinyl was torn and ripped and it squeaked like hell when sat in. I used 3M spray adhesive, 1,282 staples and placed the carbon fiber vinyl right on top of the old vinyl. I flipped the chair over and sprayed WD40 on everything and 90% of the squeaks are gone. ... show more

It’s a very beautiful and durable material, I used it to wrap my sub box and it came out beautifully. One of the main concerns about wraps is their possibility of the glue soaking/seeping through this material doesn’t seep nor stain, I accidentally smeared/sprayed 3M super 77 glue on the outside and it rubbed off like nothing and it’s pretty scratch resistant as well I drug it in my truck bed and it barely had any scratches or blemishes to show. ... show more

I've reupholstered 1 motorcycle and 4 ATV seats with this. It's 2-way stretch, not 4-way. Also, not a lot of stretch. I was afraid it would be kind of slippery because it doesn't feel as grippy when you run your hand over it, but when I sit on it, I can't feel it grips just as well as the original smooth vinyl on my seats. ... show more
