ive ordered some other carbon fiber vinyl... but needed it faster then the other brand .. i recieved this and its not as stretchy and more waxy/plasticy feel. plus it seems a little thinner..... it is what it is...it was a few dollars cheaper ...but not quiet the same quality as the other brand ...so thats why its 3 stars ....

This makes for a fantastic motorcycle seat cover. Bought a seat pan for my 2000 ZR-7, built up custom foam and was able to cover it with the 1.5' x 54" piece. Being my first fabric related project I was a little worried about using the "guess and check" method for the seat cover cause I just didn't know what would work. This seemed like it was a solid product and I am happy with the result! If you look at the picture you can see it even sews pretty well! It sticks just like any vinyl seat cover would but you can use masking tape on the standard metal presser foot to reduce friction. Considering this was my first sewing project ever, I was very happy with the result using this material. Only reason I give 4 stars (instead of 5) is that I was a little disappointed that it was only 17.5" rather than the 18" (1.5') the description says. Keep this in mind if you think your application will be tight. What saved me for my application was it's ability to stretch! I could make up that half inch pretty well.

This stuff is easy to work with. I was able to rescue this 1997 office chair from going to the dumpster. The seat vinyl was torn and ripped and it squeaked like hell when sat in. I used 3M spray adhesive, 1,282 staples and placed the carbon fiber vinyl right on top of the old vinyl. I flipped the chair over and sprayed WD40 on everything and 90% of the squeaks are gone.

It’s a very beautiful and durable material, I used it to wrap my sub box and it came out beautifully. One of the main concerns about wraps is their possibility of the glue soaking/seeping through this material doesn’t seep nor stain, I accidentally smeared/sprayed 3M super 77 glue on the outside and it rubbed off like nothing and it’s pretty scratch resistant as well I drug it in my truck bed and it barely had any scratches or blemishes to show.

I was expecting something rubbery or cheap plasticky material, but this is really nice! First project will be the seat back for my center console boat. This will be a good test of the weather proof claim! I will have plenty left for other boat seats and parts! I'm not a professional, but will take my time and follow You Tube videos!

This is not an adhesive vinyl, but a cloth type vinyl which was what I needed. This is the second carbon fiber vinyl material I have purchased, the first one was a different brand. I was happy with the first one I bought, until I ordered this I e and saw how much better it looks. The only down side is all the work I out into my interrior is having to be redone so I can use this vinyl in its place.
