Features

  • VVIVID Air-Tints are an industry first: a headlight/taillight tint with all of the technologies developed in VVIVID+ premium materials. They include an air-release membrane which allows you to install the tint dry ( without installation liquid ) Ready to use out of the box!
  • This is the only film on the market that can wrap ANY SHAPE. It is super conformable with heat. It was originally manufactured for hard-to-wrap surfaces, but the ease of install has professionals saving time on any headlight shape.
  • This film is also self healing and scratches will go away with heat! Simply cut the vinyl to shape, and apply it to the surface. To make the vinyl conform to curves, simply heat with a heat gun or hair dryer, stretch and apply. Lastly, using a sharp blade, trim away excess from the headlight and you're done! its literally that simple!
  • Made with automotive grade cast vinyl, these tints are 80% tinted smoke or 20% VLT. The adhesive is acrylic based which will not eat through plastic like other tints on the market. It is 100% chemical safe, and will not eat through headlight coatings or damage your lights.
  • NOTE: MAKE SURE TO MEASURE YOUR HEADLIGHTS AND ORDER ENOUGH VINYL TO WRAP THEM

  • Great
Size: 16" x 48" 2-roll pack
Has been on for almost 4 years now and hasnt even tried to come off, however in the sunlight it did tighten up and cracked the headlight, give it a tiny lil bit of slack when putting it on should solve the issue

  • Quality Tint- Just Didn't Work for my Specific Use
Size: 12" x 24" 2-roll pack
Packaging: Shipped in an Amazon brown box with contents shrink-wrapped into a tight roll. Note that it is very hard without heat to get it out of that "curved" look. Product Impressions: Pretty nice and dark tint granted I was going to use it on my rim center caps as they are silver/black and the goal was to make them look more glossy black as a whole. Regarding applying the tint, you need to wear latex (or similar) style gloves or else your finger prints will be all over the tint. You will also need a hair dryer on heat to "Set" the tint in it's final spot. Just note that if there is raised lettering, badging, etc. it will NOT work correctly like happened to me. If it's a flat surface you will be fine. I would recommend testing it on something else first as this isn't as simple as it looks in my opinion. Usability: Doesn't work for Camry XSE rim center caps but that is OK. No need to lower the stars because of that. Overall Thoughts: It's a nice cosmetic if applied correctly, hopefully it works for you! ... show more

  • Ok Product, cheap but looks ok
Size: 16" x 48" 2-roll pack
Overall the tint looks great, from 5 ft away. There is definitely a learning curve as most other comments mentioned. This stuff is thick and that helps and hurts depending on what you are doing. If your a perfectionist buy enough to do things twice, trust me it will be needed. I recommend doing everything you can with the tint "cold" and then use heat when you can't get any better. You should absolutely be wearing black nitrate gloves, helps with keeping your body oils off the sticky side and heat off your hands. If your not removing your lights absolutely need the squeegee, I had a cheap wrapping kit that worked perfectly. The tint is only so forgiving with kinks and it is kinda easy to ruin the air release. I used dark on my tail lights and it kills the reverse lights about but absolutely looks amazing with little effect on tail light visibility. I used light on my headlights and it doesn't really look like the light output was effected much. I am posting this on both the light and dark products. ... show more

  • Orange Peel
Size: 16" x 48" 2-roll pack
Well, I tried. I've previously used regular window tint to tint my top mirrors on my truck. That worked great for about a month until the sun and car washes destroyed it. Thought I'd give this stuff a try being it's designed to stand up against both sun and washing. I know this isn't it's intended purpose so I'm going to still give it a solid 5 stars because for what it's designed for, it would do really well at. If you're wondering how much orange peel is left after they upgraded it a bit for the new high gloss version, here's a good picture for reference. On a mirror this looks like crap, but over headlights, paint, or something else this might not be an issue. ... show more

  • Great Quality, Not So Great Application
Size: 16" x 48" 2-roll pack
I bought this after using VHT Niteshades and hating the look it gave me (not to blame VHT, it just didnt work for my application) I picked this up at the recommendation of youtube, which is also where I researched how to install the product and it seemed pretty straightfoward, and was. However, this film is better suited for less complex surfaces, closer to flat surfaces. when applied to my taillights which are completely rounded in some areas, this film was near impossible without making relief cuts, or cutting out the bad section and putting in a new strip of film in its place. Ive tried everything, heat, more squeegee, stretching and even removal and retrying, but to no avail. The product has started to peel a bit in a corner where my cut was sloppy on the new strip of film where I replaced the wrinkled portions. I didn't like the VHT because the VHT didn't make the red taillight match the gray panel on my trunk. Not something I can knock the product specifically for, but the Vivid film made the colors perfect. No matter what the color under the film is, in daylight, its black with this film. Light transmission is awesome, I dont think it really impacted output at all, another thing that cannot be said for the VHT. But all said, I would like to clear up some misconceptions about this product and its limits; 1. Do not use a heat gun, use a hair dryer, its more than enough heat to apply the film. If you must use a heat gun, keep it on low, I used a hair dryer and managed to melt through the film in places and had to put more on, it doesn't take a fiery hot heat to apply it. 2. There is such thing as too much heat and stretch, if you heat the film and stretch it too far, it will tear and wrinkle, or distort the clarity of the film. That leads me to 3. The "air release" is more of a gimmick than an actuality. It works on large bubbles, but if you get a "finger" (long thin crease in the film) DONT RELY ON THE AIR RELEASE, just remove it and re apply the tint. You will crease the tint if you try and squeegee out a finger. and 4. This tint is not "self-healing" That term was thrown around on the tube quite a bit, but its not. Once it creases, no amount of heat will fix it, just toss it, or cut out the bad section, and do some precision trimming to put a new piece in its place. I personally feel that RVinyl has more options with vehicle specific relief cuts in them, but that doesnt mean the Vivid is a bad product. Im quite split on the true answer of the question, The quality is great, the film adheres to anything, only requires heat and patience, and is a slightly cheaper alternative to buying tinted tailight housings. However the application is so tough it makes achieving even results to be proud of tough, looks great from afar, but then you see where you had a cut in the tape and used a sharpie to fill in the gap. If you have a simpler taillight, maybe one that isint round, or maybe you were doing a simple headlight, I would say go for it, even though the results might not be 100%, the price cant really be beat. But if youre looking for show quality results, check out a tint shop near you. And VHT niteshades is also worth a try at the price point, but its all up to the results you want. ... show more
