Kind of like having your mattress on the floor. So I purchased this metal box frame to bring up the mattress height. It was easy to assemble inside the original bed frame, (instead of dragging it around once assembled). It fit perfectly as you can see and with the mattress on top, it's just right on the height that I wanted. No creaking noises, no feeling of the cross members through the mattress and great support. I Definity recommend it as an alternatives to a regular box spring.

While sturdy, the product had two imperfections——one of the D parts did not have the thread piece to allow the leg to be screwed in; although the product is supposed to adjust to fit a full, Queen or king mattress, it only expands a half inch. Needless to say, my double box spring did not fit so I returned the product.
