We take both camping and can be off grid with no worries. Nice and small and portable but very powerful. Great power station. I recently purchased this Power Station to use for camping and outdoor use. The unit is really high quality for the price and is more than sufficient to charge your phone, use laptop and other portable devices. I wanted to get a unit where I wouldn't drain my truck battery and also have the ability to use small appliances such as a portable fan, portable cooler, small cooking units and anything else I might need that requires AC use. This unit was able to handle it for three continuous days of use. I chose the VTOMAN over the Jackery because I really liked the design and over value of the unit. I think what drew me to it primarily was the light, that is much larger than other units on the market. The handle is also sturdy and in a good location for lifting the unit, that weighs a reasonable 15 pounds. I also liked the position of the AC outlets in the front and location of the USB ports for charging my wireless devices. It does take a long time to fully charge (8-12 hours), but for using items with small wattage requirements it gives you all the power you need. Amazon says it is gas powered, but that is an error because you either need to plug it into an AC outlet or can you buy the optional solar panels to charge it. I did end up returning it because I ended up getting a larger power station capable of lasting longer and able to handle larger items for a longer period of time. It is much lighter in weight then the larger power stations and could be an option to hook up a trickle charger to your battery or for other emergency situations. But if you are looking for something to use sparingly or to charge your wireless devices while camping, then this is more than sufficient. It also is something you can use when the power goes out and be a great backup for your electrical needs in the garage when working on a project and don't want to use lengthy electrical cords. I’ve owned this power station for a year now. It has functioned flawlessly and paired great to the eco-worthy 100w portable solar panel. The panel can charge 60w and under full sunlight can fully charge in about 5-6 hours. I like that the power station says exactly how many watts are being consumed or recharged. Some of the things I have powered: can run LED lights for about a day, can run a TV or mini fridge roughly 4-5 hours depending on size/power consumption, a standard laptop can run for about 6-7 hours. Note, if you’re looking at these for the first time, keep in mind how many watts you need and how long you need them for. This unit has a 299 wh battery, so if you run 600 watts of power it will only have storage to maintain that level for half an hour. I now have an off grid cabin, so my only regret in hindsight was not buying the 1500 watt one to power tools, heater, etc. ... show more

Product works great, for a test I hooked it up to the dishwasher. Went through all the cycles no problem for three hours even drying. Did drain Battery to below 50% but you wouldn't be using this for that in an emergency, or out one woods. Can handle power tools too, great battery for the price when it's on sale. Only down side's I can bring to the table, is the size an weight of the Vtoman 15k. An the fact there is no estimated time for power usage. Just the percent of power left in the battery. It shows power consumption, but you would have to do the math to figure how long something could run, before Battery runs out of juice. ... show more
