UPDATE: The company reached out and offered a replacement, so i took them up on that offer. I've been using this almost daily since and other than the light thing, the other issues are not there. Batteries work great and last. no funny smells and it works MUCH MUCH better than the first. I think it was just a faulty unit. However the support behind this was amazing, even after they replaced it, they reached out to make sure I was happy. That itself speaks volumes. Well done, you have turned an angry customer into a happy one. So where to begin, I thought all these power ratchets are the same, this one had a good price for what you get. The problems begin with the light, its behind your hand so when you turn it on, its partially blocked (its used on an angle, not like a screwdriver). Then the batteries themselves, just died off both within 20 mins of use. I feel like im constantly recharging them if I have a longer job. Not how that should go. Then lets talk about the funny smell that comes from it when you are using it. It almost smells like the inside is burning, but I dont see any smoke. However it wouldnt surprise me if someday it did. If i were you, id pass on this brand, im sure they arent all the same but this one fails big time

I’ve been using the VTEK 3/8" extended cordless ratchet wrench for a while now, and it’s been pretty solid for daily tasks. For the price, the quality is better than I expected. It’s comfortable to hold, the extended reach helps in tighter spots, and the battery life has been decent so far. The torque is a little limited compared to higher-end brands, but for general work and quick jobs, it definitely saves time and makes things easier. As long as you’re not expecting heavy-duty performance, it’s a very useful tool to keep around. Overall, good value for the money.

The power rachet was great, long battery life, power torque, easy to use. Did not have a problem, even recommended it to friends, until both batteries were dead and I noticed battery charger doesn't work. Good not find information on manufacturer to buy a new charger for the batteries. Other than that, it works great. If someone can help, let me know.....

Used it yesterday and it's not much more than a right angle electric screwdriver. Tried using on a 10mm bolt to start, and it immediately started smoking. Used a real ratchet and with very little effort broke the bolt loose and then swapped socket to this to unscrew. Had to do it that way with all 10mm bolts I was working with. Not sure how a 10mm bolt can almost burn up a 16.8v ratchet on first use, but I guess you get what you pay for especially on something with no reviews. Not very satisfied. Update -ratchet must have needed broke in, its breakaway torque is still not the best but using it to manually break bolts loose and then ratcheting works fine, however fastening has great torque, broke the shield on a Ford starter relay when tightening a terminal down. All in all is an amazing buy and will definitely buy again if something happens to this one.

Was looking for a more powerful electric ratchet than 12 volts. Found this one and ordered it. Unfortunately I prefer the type that allows a smooth variable speed trigger. This one is all out high speed or off. May work well for some where that isn't an important exception but this one is going back. Pros: seems well made externally, nice finish all around, good solid feel to it, 2 - 16+ volt batteries, good price point, very nice case with foam to keep it all together and organized. Cons: no variable speed, little control for lower speed, light too low on unit; almost blocked by hand grip location.
