I like that this is ocean themed. The whale sounds are more like owls but that’s fine. My 2 month old does get mesmerized staring at the mobile. Don’t know if he can see far enough yet to see the stars on the ceiling but eventually yes. In the manual it says an “ocean themed projection” - its stars and moons..not quite ocean themed but that’s also fine. The songs start with someone singing which is kind of annoying, eventually it gets to just music which is preferable. The night light part is kind of bright, and you can’t choose what color it does, it just blinks through all of them. It has not made my 2 month old any more interested in sleeping in his space so that’s a bummer.     • Why did this mobile burned out?
My grandchild isn't one year old the mobile burned out guess when today mother's day. Not good. Since VTech items are supposed to play long and I never heard of this before. And no never was left on just because only when it was sleep time. Another one I need to be since my grandchild loves it. It is very disappointing I could understand over two yrs old products but it is not ... show more

    • Stopped working after 3 months
It was perfect at first. I loved everything about it. But exactly 3 months later, it stopped working. Replaced all brands of batteries and tried taking it apart to fix it. Nothing. Completely died.

    • Favorite purchase for my son
My son has loved this mobile from the time he was born. The ocean noises is very calming as well as the music. It switches off at just the right time after he falls asleep and when he fussed at night it turns back on without the light. Probably the best investment I made for his room, and it wasn’t even very expensive. DEFINITELY recommend ... show more

    • Very nice / NOT intended for Pack & Play
Very cute, but bigger than I imagined, and top heavy. The only issues I have is it does not attach to a Pack & Play, which is what I purchased it for. The Product Description is for a baby crib, nothing else. My fault entirely. Very nice item, but for a CRIB only.

    • Baby loves it!
My little one is almost ten weeks old and has begun babbling and talking to the ceiling fan, so I thought it was high time I get a mobile for her, and I'm glad I chose this one! The sea animals are soft, with the exception of the star fish in the middle, but it is high up enough that I'm not concerned about the fact that it's hard plastic. The unit assembled really quickly and takes four AA batteries. It has three different settings: mobile, projector, and crib light, just mobile and projector, and just crib light. You can choose ocean sounds or music, adjust the volume, and set a timer for 20, 30, or 40 minutes. The sound you choose will also start to play again if it detects baby crying. I notice my baby girl has to be quite fussy for this feature to kick in, so I usually reach her before it turns on but it's still a nice thing to have. My baby loves to watch the lights as she falls asleep and I find the ocean sounds more soothing since she sleeps in our bedroom. I bought this item slightly used and overall, I am really happy with this purchase! Please note that it only works for cribs with hard sides. This cannot be affixed to a bassinet with soft sides because it uses a buckle and not a clamp like some other mobiles. This I think is the only con. ... show more

    • Baby loves it, but it has problems
My baby loves this mobile, but it has several problems. For one, it drains batteries like mad. I dont even use this daily and I blow through batteries on it every couple weeks. The mobile also doesn't spin half the time and you have to jiggle it around to get it to move. The star light on top of the mobile is pretty useless too as the lights aren't bright enough to really be seen on the ceiling. The entire unit is very heavy and is very awkward to attach to the crib as well, often it slumps forward at a weird angle. But the color chaning light on the whale is a massive hit for babies of all ages. ... show more
