The only reason it’s getting one star is because I can’t give it zero. I’ve used many different polygels but this is by far THE WORST gels I’ve ever used. They’re really sticky and the black isn’t black at all. No matter how much gel you use to get it darker is doesn’t work and leaves an unholy white stain the more you use it. I bought at 1 star so this was a bit of a gamble, but it’s so hard to find JUST polygel on Amazon so I went for it and honestly it’s not bad but it’s not great either. The gel is very watery and because so, takes longer to cure in the lamp and, once hardened, is not at rigid as others I’ve used. It’s not bad! But it’s just not the best.

I do my polygel nails the femi beauty way from YouTube which is definitely the lazy girl method but the outcome is still amazing nonetheless the purple isn’t as opaque as the photo but it definitely is worth the buy if you’re looking for something simple and to just get on with your day UPDATE!: so I’ve had these nails on for a week and they do not budge and I work with my hands frequently at work and constantly washing them and none of them have chipped lifted or even peeled off definitely worth the buy!

Pros: Good value Nice color variety Sparkles are gorgeous Really easy to smooth out in a nail form Cons: Black is pretty sheer Tubes are really tiny and are difficult to squeeze I'm far from a professional, so take my review with a grain of salt. I got this kit because I needed black polygel for Halloween and this was an affordable option. Unfortunately, the back is really sheer. The tips looked good, but my natural nails shown through a lot. I ended up putting black polish over it, which wasn't horrible. The black base still helped. Yesterday I used the sparkly hold color and I love it! Usually I like adding accent nails or embellishments, but these look cute with just a top coat. I haven't tried any of the other colors yet, but I think they'll be decent.

The dark red and black polygel are not as pigmented as I had hoped. Nevertheless, I was excited to do my nails. Working with and spreading the polygel was fine with slip solution (I didn’t use alcohol - I find that it causes polygel to goop up my brushes.) HOWEVER, when it came time to cure my nails, I had a miserable time. I don’t know if it’s because my nails are on the flat side and I have to build up a curve, but the polygel didn’t want to set. I wound up curing my nails multiple times for 90 seconds (top and underside) just to get a polygel the set. This was particularly annoying because when it came time to file down my nails and clean up the undersides, I would run into tacky gel not far beneath the cured portion. This should not be happening with a 40W UV/LED lap.

This product is dope! Colors are sweet the dark pink is close to mauve when applied but it’s pretty. The white is crisp. Clear is truly clear. Ive not tried red, brown or silver, but I expect great things!! Loved working with it. A simple application in a dual form. Since I started with black it definitely needed another layer after curing , so I painted over the nail already formed then added my designs. A whole lot of slip solution not too necessary, but sure the product has its stickiness. It’s soft and pliable straight out the tube. I loved application so much that I plan on buying the other colors. It would be nice to include a brush/spatula in the kit however. Just because! Thanks!!

Takes some practice. A little gel goes a long way... I made mine super thick and had to file underneath to thin out....my pic has the poly gel on the ring finger. Professional acrylic on the rest of fingers. This gel only turns pink when I get it cold in water....picture makes it appear warm temps makes it color change.
