  • Need wouldn't level, missing parts, no response from customer support
The price on this 3d printer was great. After reading multiple reviews on the best beginner printed and watching multiple Youtube videos I decided to purchased the Voxelab Aquila X2. It if the package the machine went together quick, but it only had 1 clip for the need plate so I had to use an office clip to hold the other side. I then spent the rest of that day attempting to level the bed. I could get the back and front left side level, the right front side level, but as soon as I tried to level the back right side it throw everything else out of wack or I didn't have enough adjustment to get the nozzle close enough to the plate. I was able to print off items but the bottom layer was flat. Overall I think I got a bad unit. ... show more

  • Great for the price
I am new to 3D printing. I was looking at reviews and they all lead me to this specific printer. As a newbie, I think the print quality of items I have printed so far (mostly mods) to make it look cool (I guess) have been very good. I have been looking at videos and tips long before I got the printer so I was able to recognize a bunch of things once I got it. The only thing I had an issue with right out of the box, was that it would not reach temperature at the nozzle to save my life. After long research and figuring things out (I have a mechanical background as a helicopter mechanic in the military), I figure out that the thermistor (I think is what it is called), was bad. I replaced it and have been printing for three days now and have no issues with it. It is a great printer, and for the money is a great starter one. The only thing I think is that regardless of how inexpensive it is, I would expect it to work right out of the box and not have to replace what it is supposed to be new items. I still would not change mi mind about it though. Glad I got this printer. ... show more

  • I can't believe it!
I have been in manufacturing machinery for 5 years as a technician. I am completely stunned by this machine! In 4 four hours we went from opening the box to our first print! We started out knowing nothing about 3d printing, just followed the instructions and it worked! We are super excited! And working on more complex stuff now. I am sure we have much to learn yet. ... show more

  • Two strikes and I’m out
New products should just work, and two of these printers didn’t. I’m done trying to get them to perform their basic function. I give kudos to their support team who were as responsive as they could be supporting a customer 12 hours behind them. I didn’t have time to work on their requests until evening, and they would reply while I was sleeping; just really dragged out the process. With my first Aquila X2, Voxelab Support diagnosed I had a faulty hotbed, bed thermistor, and motherboard. Normally these would arrive in about 10 days but with the current issues with supplies and shipping they couldn’t tell me when I’d receive the parts. I opted to return the printer for a replacement. The replacement arrived, and after several attempts I managed to get one print of moderate quality. It wouldn’t properly heat again. Another several days of support emails when I decided it wasn’t worth it anymore. Once I get me refund I’ll buy a different company’s 3D printer. If you have moderate experience with electronics and are willing to wait an unknown amount of time for replacement parts this might be a good printer for you. Otherwise I suggest finding another printer. ... show more

  • Not great
We bought this for our son for his birthday. We had our neighbor (who is a 3d pro) come and check it out help us set up etc…. It worked for about two weeks. THEN. It’s stopped adhering. The prints were off line. Etc… by this time we couldn’t return it. We contacted manufacturer. We heard nothing back. No one could help us. $180 later and it still doesn’t work. LOTS of extras bought to help the situation. We have tried all the tips and tricks out there. Our neighbor spent hours on it trying to “fix” it. Don’t waste your money on this thing. My review would have been amaizng before the two weeks. Now it’s def DONT BUY. ... show more

  • It wouldn't even find home.
This was bought for my son for Christmas and when it was opened it would not auto home and respond to commands. Contacting the local representative for Voxelab and they said try to move a plug and it didn't help then they ignored requests for assistance until it couldn't be returned, I feel scammed. The lack of support is terrible. ... show more

  • Beware of the H32 chip
I was super excited to get this printer, but unfortunately, it shipped with the H32 chip, which still has many issues and limitations. I kept on waiting for a fix for everything, and they did fix a few things, but still too many issues. The only real fix at this point is to purchase another board from them that contains the N32 chip, but at a 1/3 of the cost of a new printer. That defeats the purpose of buying a new printer! They also advertise a meanwell power supply, but looks like they are shipping with another brand. Very disappointed! ... show more
