Description

Housed inside its durable, one-piece aluminum tube is a 4x optical system delivering excellent edge-to-edge clarity and sharp resolution. Exposed elevation and windage turrets are low profile enough to stay out of the way in packing situations, but offer the quickness, ease and precision of dialing accurate shots at distance. A side adjustable parallax gives shooters peace of mind by removing parallax error from the equation from 10 yards to infinity. Dual use for Shooting Tactical / Hunting. XD Lens Elements: Extra-low dispersion (XD) glass increases resolution and color fidelity, resulting in crisp, sharp images. For $400 dollars I really was t expecting much, I was completely wrong! Hands down you cannot beat this scope for the price point. Your not getting $2000 glass or features but you are getting so much more than you pay for!! I have only shot at 50 and 100 yards just to sight in but there is not a single complaint! Glass is crystal clear, parallax is dead on perfect, the turrets while slightly mushy give very sharp audible clicks. It tracked wonderfully on the tracking test and is just dead on wonderful. I’ll try and update again after I have more rounds through it. Overall though I would recommend and buy again! Update #1: went out to the range to see how good of a group I could put together and to see if there were any issues or changes in zero. Everything is still wonderful. My best five shot group at 100 yards was measured at 0.62 in with a Weatherby .300 win mag using Hornady 180 grain SST Super performance ammo. I love this scope and have recommended it to two guys at the range today. Can’t say enough good things for the price of this scope and the performance it gives you! ... show more

Great scope to use on my .22LR rifle. I swapped the rail on my .22LR rifle receiver to a 20 MOA rail was able to use this scope to clearly hit targets out to 200 yards. The glass is very clear. The turrets have nice positive click feel. The FFP reticle is nice and sharp. The separate parallax knob really helps get a accurate and focused sight picture. We bought this scope for our young son to teach him to shoot as the rifle (savage axis) didn't come with iron sights. It's definitely more than we expected. Crystal clear image and powerful enough to see heat risers. Easy to zero and it held it like a champ. By the end of the first day at the range he was grouping at 2in and putting bullet within bullet hole at 200yds. We were using a marking target paper and the scope was able to pickup the holes easily in it... no walking down the range to see what's going on. The adjusting knobs felt good without exaggerated 'wiggle'. They had a nice click that can be felt on your fingers so you can count off the moa. Important when reaching out and/or hunting. We went with the Vortex rings for the mounting. Too many people cheap out with the rings then complain that the glass isn't performing as advertised. This scope "does not" have a locking zero. Bummer, but you can't have it all. If you want a locking zero then you have to step up. We did. We now own two scopes and a hoodie. The warranty is real. I had a problem with one of the scopes. Called them up, no hassle, sent it back and got it returned really quick. The scope was fine though.... I screwed up in the mounting... oops. Great scope for the price, twice the price. ... show more

I had serious doubts about the quality of this scope given the price point, but it surpassed my expectations. The thing that worried me was that their wasn't very much parallax adjustment past 300 yards. In fact none. I went to our spot and dialed in a target at 347 yards. The adjustment was already out to infinity at this short distance. The picture was clear and crisp. Went to 400, 600 and then 850 yards. Still a clear picture on infinity setting. Glass was clear to the edges, big eye box. Even bobbing my head gave no parallax deviations. Tracked perfectly and returns to zero, spot on! Turrets are not mushy like others have said. They are just close ratioed, but concise feelable clicks. Using the Burris XTR Signature rings with 20 MOA inserts added gives me plenty of adjustment to go out beyond the 1000 yard mark. Not worried about not having a zero stop as one full revolution (15 MOA) gets you already out past 600 yards, so doubt you will get confused as to where you are at. Buy once, cry once! This scope is as good as or better than competing scopes costing up to twice the price. ... show more

I've now had a chance to shoot this scope side-by-side with the Vortex Viper-PST, and have some thoughts for those deciding between the two. The most obvious consideration is price, and at about half the cost, the Diamondback Tactical performs well for most applications. That differential does come from somewhere though, with the Viper-PST being a much higher quality scope. As I see it, the difference in cost comes from a few major factors: 1) Place of manufacture. The DT is produced in China, with the labor costs having an obvious impact on price. 2) Glass clarity. The Viper-PST is completely clear edge-to-edge, with absolutely no shadowing. The DT presents some shadowing at the edges of the view that could affect low-light shooting, especially at distance. 3) Eyebox. The Viper-PST has an extremely forgiving eyebox, with extremely loose head positioning allowing for a clear view. This has an additional impact when switching the rifle between shooters. 4) Features. Although the DT retains a surprisingly extensive number of features for its price, it does lack some of the features of its more expensive counterpart. The DT does not have a zero-stop like the Viper-PST, although it does have an easy to use system for repositioning the turrets after zeroing the rifle. Obviously the DT is not illuminated, where the Viper-PST is, which may have an additional impact on low-light shooting or use with a clip on night vision device. Overall, the Diamondback Tactical is a great option for the price, and would serve any hunter extremely well. For long-range shooting applications or competition a Viper-PST will solidly outperform the DT, but it remains up to the consideration of the individual shooter if their application demands the increased cost. ... show more

Super nice optic, comes with sunshade even though the ad doesn't say so. Holds zero and has that nice unconditional life time warranty. Scope is extremely clear however the more you zoom the darker it gets. Pretty sure that's normal. 10/10 would buy it again. When i bolted it to my Remington 700 sps tac in 308 i set up at 50 yards to start and it was grouping only 3 inches from bullseye. Super clean adjustments that are accurate. Not like the trashy Scopes where one click means 1/4 inch then the next one jumps 3/4 ... show more
