The lids to these cups do not fit snugly. I have 2 cups that are unusable; none of the 4 lids will fit securely. I always wash these type of cups by hand, so my cleaning method can’t be blamed. Also, I hate the slide mechanism on the lid; impossible to clean. I prefer the magnetic (removable) one on the Yeti. I wanted 4 cups for my coffee station and decided to go the cheaper route. Not worth the money. Update: I’m going to change my review from 1 star to 4 stars. After doing some research, I discovered the lid will fit the cup if the mechanism on the lid is in the open position. User error! I’m still taking away 1 star for the difficulty cleaning under the mechanism. Again, they’re not a Yeti cup, but these cups do an adequate job keeping coffee warm and aren’t as expensive as the Yeti. And, if you’re prone to losing cups (like me), these are a pretty decent option. ... show more

I went stainless steel cause I was tired of the color chipping away on other brands I had owned. This is a great and simple stainless steel mug. Lid is very secure and cover slides back and forth nicely. The handle seemed sharp around the edges at first but I don’t notice it anymore.

These mugs are great and keep my coffee hot down to the last sip. They are slightly smaller than the 14 ounce Yeti mug but they still hold 14 ounces. At less than 1/3 the price of Yeti and comparable performance I don’t hesitate to recommend them. But be advised! I just filled one with hot coffee and trying to have a drink but nothing was pouring out. So I tipped the cup up and up until a big glug of coffee came out and burned my mouth. There is a very small hole in the lid under the slide stopper that is supposed to let air into the cup to replace the dispensed beverage. Mine was plugged somehow so no air got in until the outflow pressure caused a surge of coffee. I cleaned out the vent hole with a paper clip and now it works great, letting out a little at a time. The vent hole is pictured below to the right of center. Followup…. I find that poking out the vent hole does not always solve the problem. It seems that any liquid getting under the slide stopper can seal up the vent system so the coffee wont pour out slowly and surges out to burn my mouth. I ended up drilling a tiny hole in the lid next to the top of the stopper. That allows air inside and controlled dispensing of beverage. Even with having to modify the vent system, I still like these cups. ... show more
