  • Soooooo fun to fly!
I never leave reviews cuz I absolutely hate writing. But these planes seriously deserve a review! I highly suggest them for any beginning or even advanced RC guy (like me). Easy to fly, fast, agile, and has the perfect mix of durability and aesthetics (they look so cool, especially if you love WW2 planes like I do). I've bought a total of 9 of these planes and I finally feel experienced enough to offer some good advice. So here you go: 1) Buy either the Corsair or the BF109. They fly the best -- especially the Corsair but they all fly slightly different depending on chance. I haven't had a plane fly poorly, but the Mustang did get a little shaky when going fast or when it was windy and the P40 Warhawk was super jittery. The Corsair is BY FAR my favorite though. I've had 3 and they all flew super good (crashed one straight into a fence and the other one I crashed so many times it simply became inoperable). 2) LEARN TO FLY THESE IN A GRASS FIELD. A BIG ONE! You are going to crash 100,383 times before you get anywhere near adept enough to fly these things in front of your house. But if you're doing it in a giant grass field, then you can crash them literally dozens of times and they won't break. Concrete, on the other hand, can wreck them in one crash. 3) Keep the wheels on. They'll break off from time to time -- to which superglue will mount them back on -- but they'll protect the battery cage from breaking. On the superglue note, it's awesome for glueing together broken wings etc cuz the planes are just styrofoam. 4) Buy extra props. They fall off on impact and don't break often, but they do crack relatively easily so you'll want extra ones trust me. 5) Have needle nose pliers on hand for removing the battery. You'll thank me later. 6) Before your first flight make sure the prop is on securely by gunning it while you hold it then dragging it backwards through the air. If that doesn't make the prop fall off, then you're ready to send it. 7) Make sure your controller is in easy mode on your first flight. Once you get better, go to intermediate mode. That's where I still am, and it's the best mode to fly in IMO. The one time I went into expert mode I drilled my BF109 straight into the concrete and it destroyed my brand new plane. Sucked. 8) When taking off, put the throttle on full, and huck the plane as high as you can at a 45 degree angle into the wind. 9) I'd just fly in circles using the right control knob at first. Then crash it into the grass and repeat. These planes are SO FUN! 10) Once you graduate to flying them outside your house try to land in grass. You basically crash land but it's better than crashing in the street on a failed approach. Then once you master grass, land on the street. But give it several weeks before going for a street landing. Cuz if you bend the shaft that spins the propeller that will essentially total your plane. 11) Land in the street by coming in fast and low. I'll come in at like half speed and once the wheels are down I'll cut power. My landings are now like butter and I'm breaking my planes WAY LESS. 10) You can fly these things almost entirely with the right joystick. Just keep the left joystick pinned (throttle) and fly the thing with the right one. Easy Peasy. 11) Once you're an epic pilot like me, you'll be chasing birds around and dive bombing the kids in the neighborhood. You'll be doing loops and barrel rolls and songs will be written about you that will be sung around campfires for generations to come. These things are awesome, GET ONE! ... show more

  • Fun little plane overall.
Color: Spitfire Blue
It’s fast, it’s agile, and it’s fun. I will say though, it IS foam and very small so just know that it is very much effected by wind. I also had a problem with my prop flying off mid flight causing me to emergency land lol. Only other issue I’m having is the battery connection but I don’t know on which end yet. Overall those little mishaps are annoying, but it’s still a great price and overall a quality fun plane. ... show more

  • Flies nicely, even in wind!
Color: Fw190
I am an experienced RC pilot with over 65 planes since I started 10 years or so ago. Recently went to college and moved into a dorm and couldn't bring any of my big planes with me. However, I bought this little guy, and I'm glad I did. It flies well; the gyros work amazingly, having flown it in 25mph steady winds. Mine came with two batteries and 3 props (Ordered the FW-190; I'll add pictures to this review at a later time.) and with both batteries on the 3-bladed prop, I got about 35~45 minutes of flight at half throttle, which is insane! Its extremely durable (the controller is NOT DURABLE AT ALL) and handles crashes well. No tip stall to either side on both beginner and expert modes. The rudder has great control response, as does the elevator, even with such small amounts of travel. Ive suggested these little planes to a few of my newfound friends, and even those with zero experience are getting very good at flying them. Couldn't recommend them enough. Id buy them only on Amazon though, as if something does go wrong, you can return it unlike sites like Alibaba, where I see these sold for cheaper. But in the 5 that were purchased (one by me, the rest by friends), we've all had great experiences. All of us have different models. They do behave differently, with the Corsair being very unhappy at slow speeds, the P-51 doing well at low speeds but having some stall issues, and the Spitfire model being an all-around great aircraft with the eliptical wing. All of us get similar flight times in similar flight conditions, with the longest-running two being the Spit and Mustang lasting the same. The P-40 flew really well but didn't like the wind as much, and the slowest was the Zero. It still flew nicely, however. Definitely buy this whether your a young kid looking to get into the hobby and toss a little foamie around your little league field or an older guy looking for something cheap and small to toss and boss at the club field! 10/10 will buy one again. More than likely the entire rest of the lineup! ... show more

  • Awesome
Color: Spitfire Blue
This thing is amazing!!! Got it for my son’s 10th birthday. There is definitely a learning curve. A few things. 1. There are front wheels that need to be installed. We didn’t realize this for the first few days. This helps it land a bit better. 2. Spray paint your propellers a bright color so when they pop off at crash - you can find them. This dramatically improved my son’s expierence with this little airplane. It’s got so much pep. It flies way longer than the 15 mins it says. It does crash a lot. Mostlikely our fault since we’re newbs. It took a hard hit and kind of split. We will need to tape it together in order to get it back up and running but we love this thing. I just wish it was a bit cheaper so we could replace it. I got it on a deal for around $70 but it’s back up to $120 now. Highly recommend for your kiddos looking for a fun airplane. ... show more
