Bought this for my son, he loves it! First time flyer, easy to learn and fly. Very durable too. Can’t go wrong with this one!

  • Easy as heck to fly.
Color: Spitfire
Great little plane, lots of fun. Having a bit of trouble getting it trimmed up on expert mode, but I'm happy flying it on intermediate.. can be a little tough to see at times . As soon as I fly the swallows come out to dog fight. Good times.

  • Easy to fly, fun!
Color: Sport Cub
This little plane is amazing for the price. 10 years ago this would have been crazy expensive, and this tech wasn't mature enough to be viable....they had tiny RC planes, but they were difficult to fly for your average pilot. The beginner mode and intermediate mode work very well and make flying this little plane a breeze. Any one who knows the basics of flying can fly in beginning mode. I flew it on expert for a little bit, to do some aerobatics, I don't recommend it unless you are VERY experienced. It was really squirrely in expert mode and can get out of hand in hurry, and the wind even a little bit can really mess you up. I have only flown this plane 3 times, once in my front yard, twice in my alley behind my house using the dirt road as a run way. It needs to have a smooth runway or it will nose over. The wheels are very small. I took it off in a track I made with my truck tire and that worked fine, but I wasn't precise enough to land it in the track for both flights back there and it nosed over on the landing from the bumpy road, it landed fine on the black top on the street in front of my house. The good news is NO Damage. I also dropped it from shoulder height while removing the battery, also no damage. The flight times are very long, I didn't notice any decrease in power before I landed and was up each time for several minutes, I didn't time it but it felt like I was flying for a while. Half throttle is more than enough power for normal flying, it still gains altitude even slightly below half throttle. To sum it all up, I highly recommend this plane to any one who knows the basics of flying RC. ... show more

  • Pretty good
Color: Trainstar
When I bought this I was expecting it to be really fun except one time I let my friend fly and he turned to expert. Then he accidentally did a flip. He was low and crashed it. The proppeler broke but I have 2 more. Pretty good battery life. Good product

  • This is a My First Airplane only! - but a very decent My First Airplane
Color: White
Images on Amazon of this product depict ailerons. The airframe is clearly designed for aileron servos and control linkages. The box even looks like it's designed for something with aelerons. The power train with gyro stabilization and tramsmitter come in similar sized airframes with 4 channels for the same price point. So discovering that this model was 3 channel in the initial unboxing was quite disappointing. However, this Ranger 600 3 -channel is quite appropriate for a 1st time flyer. Out of the 3 different models in this..."category" that I have flown (400mm P -51, 500mm Supercub, 600mm Ranger; all 1S lipo powered gyro stab RTFs) it is the only one whose "expert" flying mode is comfortable. "Expert" mode on these things simply means "gyro off" I.E. regular DIY flying. The Cub and the P -51 are so small and light that the gyro is kind of necessary if there is any air movement at all. This thing, however, is actually completely flyable with no gyro. The upshot is that, although I personally was less than enamoured with this model because it was not exactly what I thought I was going to get, and I personally don't need a "my 1st RC airplane", I can confidently say that this would be an excellent choice for someone who wants to find out if RC flying is for them. Out of these Top Flight/Volantex/Eachine single cell lipo gyro stab planes that I have tried, this is the one that goes from training wheels to no training wheels with ease; making it a great confidence builder to get to a hobby grade aircraft. Out of the 3 I have tried, this one is the least fun to fly for my son and I, but - again - we werent looking for a 1st plane, we were looking for more planes. Also worth noting that this Ranger's glide characteristics are far less..."glider-y" than the larger models with the same moniker and form. This turns out to be a good thing as the radio range on these planes is not great, there is no failsafe on the receiver, and the thing weighs 55g - less than 2 oz! - in the air, so catching thermals with it would not be a good way to continue owning the plane. If you already have RC experience, you will find this plane quite lackluster. If you have never done this before, you will find this plane to be a great introduction to the hobby. ... show more

  • A good quality plane that flies well.
Color: Ranger400
A nice good quality plane. Tips: Fly over and land on grass. Make sure the battery cable is tucked down into the little hole so that it doesn't get in the way of the steering servo motors. Don't give it full throttle until you're familiar with it. Fly in a wide open space at least the size of half a soccer field. ... show more

  • Great little plane
Color: Sport Cub
Bought this plane because the cheapo RC plane I had wasn't enough plane but I didn't want to go too big. First impression from 2 days flying is that it is awesome. The plane has a lot more power than I expected for something so small, and I end up flying it on maybe 50% power most of the time. On the flip side, it can fly really slow and stay in the air. This makes landings harder as I really have to figure out how much space I need to bring it in, but that's a learning curve thing, not a defect. I crashed it once really hard, cracking a wing and breaking the propeller. Some super glue on the wing and a replacement prop had me ready to fly again the next day with no performance issues that my novice eyes could see. Overall, on just over one battery life worth of flying, I am super pleased with it. ... show more
