Day 1. Inserted the SIM card and it requested an unlock code which was not given to us. Emailed Vodafone (using hotel wifi) and they unlocked it from their end. Tried calling a local # and phone displayed 'Emergency calls only'. Emailed Voldaphone requesting what my phone number was. No reply. Day 2. Emailed Voldaphone again requsting additional help. Day 3. Received email with a list of instructions that should have been included with the SIM card. Instructions poorly written and not easy to understand. Nothing worked. Was instructed to reset the network settings. I did and now it was again requesting the unlock code. Emailed Vodaphone for code. Day 4. No response from Voldaphone. Day 5. Phone still displaying 'Emergency calls only'. Was tempted to try making an emergency call but instead threw the SIM card in the trash. My advice. But the SIM card at the airport when you arrive. There are numerous stations to do so and I would assume they would load the card and insure it works! ... show more

Smooth sailing on this SIM card data plan . Good communication from seller and worked like a charm in Australia with a local number that can be given to contacts located there . Used it to track Uber rides, Mapquest directions, obtain local information and tour trips to get the lay of the land. Did not drain my data usage, like other services used in the past - I would buy this again on my next trip! ... show more

The activation worked well and overall things went OK with the service. There are some things that may be obvious but I was not aware of that should be taken into account. 1) This company has coverage of the cities. If that is where you are going to be it should work well. If you are touring the outback, this will not have service while people using at least some other providers will. 2) This gives you a local Australian number so it allows you to call other local numbers and for others in Australia to call you but is not good for being able to talk to people back home or for them to talk to you. ... show more

Bad choice. Do not purchase SIM cards from this company. The phone received a message that it was activated, but with no phone number, the phone could not be used. As the instructions said, we send a message so the phone would be activated in advance. When my wife got to Australia, she could not use the phone, spent 2 hours talking with this company (the sellers) and there was no way to fix it.
