I'm afraid to order things from Vine sometimes because I can't return items that are not to my satisfaction. I'd have to throw it away or be stuck with it if it were junk. But it looked good, and I took the leap! When it arrived, I was truly impressed right out of the box by the obvious quality. And it is beautiful! The product description and photos are accurate. The glass is thick and absolutely distortion free and gives a bright and clear reflection. The frame appears to be seamless and has no imperfections or irregularities--I believe it is extruded aluminum that has been bent into shape and joined with such care that it really does look seamless. The finish is likely a powder coating--it took a screwdriver and tried to scratch the back to check how durable it is and found it really difficult to do. With some persistence, I managed to scratch it, but it is clearly a tough finish that is also nicely applied. I scrubbed a section on the back with a scouring pad and could dull the finish a bit, so it isn't bullet proof, but what I did was the kind of abuse a mirror will likely not have to endure. The glass fits neatly and evenly into the frame and is held in with a very professionally applied bead of "glue"--maybe a silicone based adhesive, but I'm not sure. To me, even the way the glue bead looks on the back where nobody will every look says that this mirror was manufactured with care--stuff like that impresses me. The mirror comes with two 12-inch brackets and enough screws that you should have no trouble positioning them to screw them into studs so you don't have to use sheetrock anchors. But it came with anchors too if you do need them. These brackets will install easily with two or three screws each and the mirror gets placed above the bracket and slipped simply down into place. Easy peasy. The bathroom where it will hang will be finished in a couple of weeks. I'll post a picture when it is photo ready. Well worth 80 bucks!

The craftsmanship of this mirror is top notch. The image is HD and doesnt contain any warping, inclusions, or impurities. The border is thin but protrudes which leaves room to place small items on it like crystals, figurines, trinkets etc. The mounting technology is updated and makes installation easier and more accurate as the mirror sits on a bar thats mounted to the wall. This is better than hanging the mirror on two separate nails hoping they line up. Aside from being easier its a lot more secure providing much needed support. I have no fear of it falling ever because of the reliable mounting system. The trim is brushed gold finish that is very high quality metal. Its elegant, high quality and classy. Overall i am very happy with the size, construction, build, shape and look of this mirror.

Save yourself the frustration I had and just use your own mounting. I put unnecessary holes in my walls and wallpaper. The anchors are flimsy and are not adequate for the size screws they provide. Other than that, this mirror was a breeze to hang once I used my own anchor and screws. Seriously simple. This is a heavy but gorgeous mirror. The reflection is crystal clear and not distorted. I love the simple yet elegant gold frame. I hung this in my closet and placed an LED light strip around it. A 10 ft light strip fits around this mirror almost perfectly. You cannot go wrong with this mirror as long as you don't use the mounting hardware.

Let me say that the current location of the mirror in the pic I posted is not what I intended for my Vine product review show and tell. I wanted to mount it but my plans were foiled when I could barely get it out of the box because it's really heavy. So I was able to lift it on top of the mantle but will need help to mount it properly so I dont risk breaking it. PROS * very well made and heavy * clear reflection, no fun house effects * comes with hardware to mount, this is not a just-hang-me mirror * comes with instructions (how rare is that for a mirror!) * really great for any room CONS * did I mention it's heavy!?! not so much a con but certainly a consideration as you not only have to use the included hardware but should also make sure to have good quality anchors in case you're not screwing the hardware into studs * high priced HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If you can get this on sale, get it...it is a great size, it is well made, it is very lovely on your wall!!

I got this to hang in my entry. The simple lines keep it from looking cluttered, while giving me a spot to check my look before I walk out the door.
