IMO vivosun is a garbage tier company. I would definitely *not* purchase lights or tents from them, but I gave these a try on a recommendation and they are the best product of it's type I have found. Most are way too small or tear easily, etc. These are generously sized and surprisingly sturdy. I was so happy with the 4" ones I received that I ordered the 6". Super unlikely source for a great product, but I'm not complaining :-) Obviously these do not provide "filtration" of anything meaningful. They are a breathable nylon mesh screen with a thicker nylon cloth cinch cuff, not a charcoal filter, and certainly not HEPA. They keep large lightweight objects from being sucked into your ducting but probably not pet hair and certainly not dust. Used for what they are useful for they are great.

I really like this product and after using them on 1 tent system, I bought 4 more pairs. I use 6" exhaust fans with matching expandable ducting. I also use the ducting for fresh air intake. These covers give me a piece of mind that no pests find their way inside my tents. Granted, I've never seen any pests in my lung room, but you never know when a bold spider will seek a new place to lay eggs.

These work well enough, though they could use a more rigid material. They can be a bit tricky to get installed flush with the end of the vent tube as the material is light and slippery, but overall these are a great solution for light duty inline venting filtration.

If you are trying to grow mushrooms and you have already bought the ventosin product. Such as the booster fan and the humidity conductor which I think is absolutely wonderful.Then, this product is necessary and very easy to use
