These are good, pro quality gauges, hoses and fittings. For just shy of 20 years I was an auto tech, and the shop had these tools. Now I need my own set, and this is a good quality setup. The pump is a pump. I works fine, is quiet, and draws down to -30 like it should in just a minute or two for a medium Mini-split AC system. The pump oil is in a sealed container, so there's no issues with it leaking during shipment. The pump has a breather cap to keep oil from leaking if the pump gets on it's side. The soft case is way too flimsy, but it works. The leak detector seems fine, but I did not have any leaks so it's difficult to judge at this point. I'd recommend this kit as a good value and good tools. ... show more

Worked great. Vacuum is really quiet and di a great job. The only issue I came across is there isn't an adapter for the self sealing freon cans. Other than that the gauges worked great, no leaks at all in any of the fittings. Made the job quick and easy.

So I was a little nervous buying a kit like this as you never know what you will get from a cheap Chinese kit. But, it worked great and saved me a ton of money from taking it in to a shop. Like ither reviewers said, you will need to get the 134A can adapter, but then the kit has everything else you need. Youtube has great videos on how to use the setup as well. This kit is excellent. It comes very well packaged, all the pieces seem very good quality and the pump works perfectly. THE ONE PROBLEM is that the adapter that goes from the refrigerant hose to the refrigerant can is outdated: new cans of refrigerant have to have a resealable valve in them, this kit adapter was designed for the old style cans that were just foil that was punctured at the top of the can. the adapter will not work with any new cans of R32 because it doesn't have the correct stem. The solution is simple: any auto store sells adapters off the shelf, however the thread sizes are different than the one on the refrigerant hose. you will have to take apart the new adapter and the one that comes with the kit and piece them together so the new adapter has the kit adapter threads. I bought mine from advanced auto and after that the kit worked perfectly. once they update the adapter in this kit it will be perfect. would buy again! ... show more

Easy order, shipping was quick and packaged well. Had to order a separate adapter for ductless heat pump. It worked great and I was able to detect leak and fix it before dumping/wasting the units refrigerant charge.
