I have used this desk for quite some time now. It has functioned nearly flawlessly It feels just about as sturdy as a desk can feel at full height. I am 6 foot 1, and it does barely get high enough for me. Though if i was even an inch taller, I would say that it wouldn't go high enough. The assembly took some time, but is obviously made of good materials and has maintained its look and quality for the two years I've owned it. One of its best features is that you can set three memory positions, and you hit those memory buttons and it goes there with one touch--no need to hold a button. I have two very minor complaints. One, I don't care for the touchscreen. It goes to sleep immediately (calls itself a power save mode, which is ridiculous on an LCD screen). And you can't be sure where to touch it to wake it up. I have to keep poking around before it eventually finds something, and then half the time that makes something happen that I don't want. I would have preferred physical buttons or for it to not sleep. Two, I have had to reset the whole desk about 4-5 times. Not a huge deal. Usually it requires me to remove it from the power source, and plug it back in. But twice it has been stuck in an error mode and I need to do a full reset with a power cycle and holding the down arrow for 15 seconds. I should also add that their support is SPECTACULAR. You can go to the Vivo website and immediately chat with a knowledgeable and helpful representative that will quickly solve any issue you have. UPDATE (8/19/22): I've changed my review from 1 star to 5. The first unit I got came with tabletop pieces that have dents and chipped off pieces. I was very disappointed. I called Vivo and it did not take long for me to speak to an actual person, John, who was very helpful. I sent a few photos of the damaged tabletop. He determined that the damaged happened during shipping/transportation and assured me Vivo would send a replacement for the tabletop. The replacement arrived the very next day. I truly like the Vivo desk. I started out looking for an Ikea desk but those are constantly out of stock and costs a heck of a lot more than these desks. The Vivo table has more sophisticated controls and programmable positions that I like a lot. The movement of the desk going up and down is quiet and very smooth. The other thing I like is the size. So much space for me to put two laptops, 2 large monitors, and still plenty of space to work, read books, or write notes. The table is easy to clean and look stylish. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8/9/2022 The product that came was clearly something that had been returned before. The box was beat up and torn in multiple places and then taped back together. I was apprehensive when I saw that. True enough, 2 of the table top pieces were chipped and dented. I can overlook that if they were at bottom of desk, but no, it's the top part and marred its overall aesthetics. Why should I pay full price for a defective product? Looking at the dented areas, it's clear that it's not well made. I don't even feel like assembling the rest of the table. I think I'm going to return this and get something else. Delivery — this desk arrived within 2-3 days in two boxes. It wasn’t too heavy and everything was in tact upon arrival. Very sturdy — this desk doesn’t move when it’s at the sitting level, however, it isn’t as sturdy when it is at the standing level. It wobbles a bit but you would have to purposely knock it over for it to fall. I have not had any problems with it, it’s perfect for getting work done and not having to sit all day! I especially like the electronic keyboard feature because it is just a touch of a button to adjust the height! Assembly — this desk isn’t difficult to put together, it took about an hour or so to fully assemble it. I would recommend you move it to your desired location before opening the boxes to assemble it. Satisfied — overall, I’m completely satisfied with my purchase! After comparing all of the sit/stand desks out there, this was the best option as far as quality, price, and conveniency for adjusting its position (no hand crank necessary)!     • Seriously Worth The Money

I really love this desk for the money I spent. It is beautiful, and the motorized sit to stand is incredibly smooth and easy to use. The desk is large, which is exactly what I needed for my home office. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that the assembly instructions are horrible. There is a need in the beginning assembly, to adjust the support bar to the width of the desk; you loosen 2 screws and are told to adjust the bar to the length of desks such that the top, once applied will match up with the legs and the screw holes will align. Well, there is nothing in the instructions on the length the support bar should be. Nothing. So you get to the end of assembly and realize you have to adjust that bar, and the telscoping rod that turns from the motor and raises the desk. Essentially, you have to adjust both of these items at the end of assembly again to align the top with the legs. My advice- Build the top first- then measure the distance between the screw holes of the top and adjust the support bar to that length first. It will save you alot of time. In addition, the pictures and description of how to connect the telescoping rod that attaches to the motor are simply awful. It took some trial and error to figure it out. I can say that now that it is assembled, I really love the desk. It is very sturdy, and having the touch display to raise up and down makes it feel much more high end than the price I paid. The desk will even store up to 3 heights that you can select at any time- a fun bonus that I did not know at the time I purchased the desk. At the lowest setting the desk is 30" from the floor and at the highest setting it is 50" from the floor- which is much too high for me but likely great for someone over 6 feet tall. Overall, a great value, but set aside a minimum of 2 hours to figure the assembly out- and do some meditative breathing before and during. In the end, you will have a really high end automatic, standing desk for about half the cost of something comparable. ... show more

This desk is more economical than most I looked at, and the good news is, it is a great desk. I love it. The action on the electric motor is smooth and quiet. The desk took some time to assemble because the instructions are not straight forward, but they were easy enough. I bought the desk stand and the top, which means that it comes with 2 sets of instructions that don't necessarily say how to put it together from the perspective of having both pieces from the manufacturer. The instructions presume that you bought the stand and you have your own top, but again, it wasn't too hard to figure out. Also, the control unit didn't work when I got it. I emailed the company and they sent me a replacement right away with no questions asked other than the confirmation of my purchase. Unfortunately, the replacement didn't work either. I emailed them again and they sent me another which worked just fine. The problem was corrected very quickly and the customer support was really easy to work with. I would definitely recommend considering this over a $750+ alternative. ... show more

It is actually a pretty nice looking desk. The issue is that it is poorly designed with a single motor and sync rod that just doesn't work. I put the desk together and only one side would go up or down. I spent time troubleshooting with the company (very limited customer service) and they told me I needed a new motor. Waiting another week for the motor to arrive, but to put the new motor on you pretty much have to do a compete tear-down to get at it. Finally got the new motor on and put the desk back together and still the same issue. So clearly not the motor but an issue with their sync rod design. Now I have to spend another hour taking the desk apart (a 2nd time) to ship back to Amazon. What a waste of time. Try one of the other manufacturers. ... show more

    • Think Of This From A Personal Health Standpoint

Doctors have agreed that sitting down for 8 hours everyday at work has a worse impact on your health than smoking a pack of cigarettes. I bought this for my home office because my employer has one for me at my office and shame on me if my employer is willing to go at greater lenghts to ensure of my personal health than I am willing to do. That and the satisfaction I get from the sleek design, great quality and value of this product is why I am taking the time to write this review. I bought dual monitors with mountig arms and I couldn't be more staisfied. For someone who used to dread working from home because of the lack of a standing desk and the absence of my office dual monitors, I have just flipped th escript on my new favorite work station (office vs home) with this purchase. I can now say I will be more relaxed and way more productive working from home. Everyone deserves to feel that way in this age of pandemics when working from home will become more common. I love this desk! I was hesitant at first but it is exactly what I was looking for. Strong and sturdy. Allows me to stand when my back starts to hurt from sitting so much.
