Will require a couple of tools not included with the packaging - Phillips head screw driver and a hammer - it mentioned a drill but I’m not sure why or where that’d be necessary.     • Good desk!
Having awesome experience with using vivo products in the past, I bought the L shaped 58x35” desk which would allow me the flexibility to stand while working and also give new more real estate for my monitors and laptops. Everything arrived quickly which was good. Two packages, one with all the metal body construction and second with the L shaped wooden table tops. I did not open the boxes till 5 weeks after it had purchased it so could not return in case I had to. I was also confident in assuming that vivo products are generally easy to assemble so it would be a breeze assembling. I was surprised by a few things and I’ll be honest that I may have missed this in the product description and reviews: 1. The wooden table top comes as two pieces, they need to be joined using screws provided 2. The L shaped part of the wooden table top did not have any holes drilled into it and it is intentional. As per the manual, I had to manually drill holes in it using the tools provided but this is not what I had expected and did not make sense. 3. The manual and the YouTube videos did not have any instructions for the L shaped desk, rather it was for the regular rectangular table top. While the body assembly is the same, screwing the table top to the body is quite different and not in the manual or videos 4. The instructions are vague. Like they should tell you how much length to keep between the two leg towers; if it’s too much then the table top won’t fit else if it’s too little it won’t be stable. I’ve cut 2 stars since my whole day went in getting the desk together and I wasn’t expecting it to take so much time. The desk work really well and’s is quiet. I’m satisfied and although there is no vibrations or signs of the table top coming apart, I’m little concerned about the table top being joined since I have 2 32” monitors held by a single vivo arm, another monitor and 2 laptops all on the same desk and I’m not sure if it is secure and safe to use it. The total weight is less than what the table can hold as per the manual but I was expecting a single table top. Hopefully it stays put for years to come. ... show more
