  • Really Great Desk - Especially in this Price Range
Size: 60 x 24-inch Color: Dark Walnut/Black
60" x 24" / Dark Walnut / Black Frame I've been using the desk for ~2 years now every working day. I've got a (3) 24" monitor setup with a mouse, keyboard, small speakers (Logitech Z4s), portable speaker phone, google home mini and phone stand. I use clamp-style monitor arms. I installed a power strip and cable management baskets to the underside of the desk, the desk comes with a tray but it is way too small for me since I've got two computers-worth of cables/chargers/docks/etc. The desk looks very nice and has held up really well, I probably use the standing feature once or twice a week or more. There's no problematic wobble on this desk (at least not the size I bought) in my opinion, in the lower positions it is just about totally absent, at the higher positions it does wobble some, but I still write and type and do everything normally with no issue and it doesn't cross my mind personally. I'd say my office desk (which is 4x-5x the price) is the exact same. Controller works well, the memory function is nice. Even without the standing functionality this would still be a great buy - the main reason I was looking at standing desks was they seemed to be the best way to find a "no frills" desk that you could clamp monitors onto, they also seemed to be higher quality than a non-standing desks that were similar in price. Size-wise, for me, I feel like the width I bought (64") is fine, but I'd definitely recommend a 32" or 36" deep desk if it will fit in your space, it will not in mine. If I had the room, I definitely would've gone with the larger size (I will say: people who complain of the wobble the most *may* have the larger-surface desks with more top mass, it's definitely a possibility because I *think* all the frames are the same). This desk punches way above it's price class, in fact I've purchased other things from VIVO in the past and they seem to be a pretty reputable brand all-around. The underside of the desk surface I got came damaged (not visible) and they actually offered $50 to keep it instead of sending it back which was wonderful for both parties because I had already assembled it and installed a ton of hardware on it, and they didn't have to process a return. Overall: highly-recommend. I love this desk and I recommend it to friends all the time. To get the most out of this desk, I'd recommend cable management trays and a power strip for the underside, paired with Velcro cable ties. For the top side: monitor stands, wireless keyboard, wireless mouse all help (just like any other desk). ... show more

  • Great value for a a desk or side table
Size: 60 x 24-inch Color: Vintage Brown/White
My son ordered a 71" x 30" VIVO stand up last month and was very happy with it, so I decided to try one myself. I ordered the 63" x 32". Super happy with the desk and decided to get this 60" x 24" one as a side desk as well. (I didn't need the side desk to be movable, but it was only $30 more than another brand's similar looking static desk, so decided it was worth making sure that the frame and tops matched exactly.) When the desks arrived I noticed they came with two different frames, I called the company to confirm I had received the right frames and was very impressed with my call being answered within just a couple minutes. I confirmed that I had received the correct frames. (One was dual motor, one was single motor.) Later I had another question about programming features and again, my call was picked up immediately and I received excellent support. Would highly recommend this product. Instructions were clear. My son assembled his by himself. I needed some help from husband due to weight, didn't want to torque the frame while turning over. ... show more

  • Sold and reliable, but not the same as my other $700 desk
Size: 60 x 24-inch Color: Vintage Brown/Black
This review will focus on comparing this VIVO standing desk I just got 2 weeks ago to the Vari standing desk I have owned for almost a year. I'll start by saying that if I had nothing else to compare it to, this desk would seem perfectly adequate. It goes up and down, it provides a stable surface on which to place a laptop, keyboard, mouse, monitor, office supplies and other similar things you'd expect to put on your desk. If I didn't have another standing desk to compare it to, the fact that this VIVO only has a single motor and uses a bar, which is "out in the open" and not hidden inside of the desk to make the desk go up and down would not even phase me. It feels fairly solid and while we've only been using it for 2 weeks, we make sure to go up and down several times each day, in order to quickly figure out if the motor is going to fail us. So far it has held up. Again — if I did not have a Vari desk that cost over twice the price (VIVO = $299, Vari = $695), I would have basically no complaints about this desk. That said, since my first standing desk was a Vari, I have plenty to "complain" about -- really, these are not complaints, just things that I've noticed that are not issues with my more expensive desk. 1) ASSEMBLY WOW! This is one department where you REALLY get what you pay for. The cheaper VIVO has a bunch of screws and bolts and connecting rods and pieces that have to be attached to the desk in order to get the legs on. It took two of a little more than an hour to put it together. (about 75 minutes) By contrast, I literally built the Vari desk by myself in 15 minutes. There are literally 3 pieces to that desk (2 legs and 1 tabletop). All you need to do is slide the legs into the tabletop and tighten the bolts and you're done. DONE! The only help I needed was in flipping the desk over, because it is HEAVY! 2) STURDINESS Speaking of heavy, that leads me to my second point. Without anything to compare it to, the VIVO desk feels adequately sturdy. But when you have the Vari literally side by side, it just feels so much sturdier. Part of it is the fact that the Vari has 2 motors (one in each leg), but I can't help but feel that the wooden tabletop is also a heavier, higher quality wood. 3) SIZE The VIVO's depth (front to back if you are sitting at it) is about 6 inches smaller. Not a huge deal for most people, but I definitely use every inch of my desk, so it's worth it to me. 4) MOTORS As I mentioned before, the VIVO has 1 motor, which gets the job done, but doesn't compare to the confidence that you get from the Vari's dual motors. 5) WARRANTY The VIVO comes with a 3 year warranty, vs the Vari's 5 year warranty. 6) EXTRAS The VIVO comes with the desk and that's it. As you might expect with a higher-priced product, the Vari came with some velcro cable ties to help with cable management, a rubber coaster to keep moisture off the wooden table top and these "clip on" hooks that literally just grab onto any edge of your desk so you can hang headphones, cables or other accessories from them for easy access. 7) MOVING Having just moved from an apartment to a townhouse, I can tell you that the more expensive Vari makes for a MUCH easier move. Literally all you need to do is remove 2 bolts per leg and that allows you to disassemble the desk to completely flat components. (2 legs and 1 table top) The Vivo is much, much, much harder to disassemble, not only because there are 4 screws per leg. Yes, these screws go directly into the wood, so too many assembly/disassembly cycles and you are left with a stripped hole in the wood. But not only do you have 4 screws per leg, you also have to contend with the crossbar that goes between the legs, which has its own myriad of screws to go with it. ---- FINAL VERDICT ---- Hands down, if you have the money, get the Vari. No doubt it is a better, higher quality product with a longer warranty. That said, I recognize that I am currently blessed to finally be in a strong financial position in my life after many years of struggle. If you don't have the money for the Vari, the VIVO is perfectly adequate and 90% of the time, you won't even know you're missing anything. The desk goes up and down, it's solid, it holds things, it's perfectly fine, especially if you don't have a Vari to compare it to. ... show more

  • Exactly What I Needed
Size: 60 x 24-inch Color: Black/Black
This was an excellent decision. Putting the desk together is no small task, but everything that was needed was included and with some patience and determination I ended up with a beautiful adjustable desk with NO wobble and a solid top that I'm pretty sur could hold up a small battle tank. I would definitely make the same purchase again. ... show more

  • Nice and Sturdy
Size: 60 x 24-inch Color: Vintage Brown/Black
I’ve only just put it together but I’m very happy so far with the electronic functionality and how sturdy it is. Assembly is not very difficult. Just be aware that you may need to create your own small holes in the wood surface with the screws in some parts. Also, if one side ends up higher than the other you just need to take the rod out and manually lower it to the bottom with an allen wrench. ... show more
