  • Reliable product backed by excellent customer service
Color: Black
I purchased this frame back in July 2022 and have been using it daily since. The load varies each day, but it has consistently held a desktop PC, multiple laptops, two large monitors and various other objects like water thermoses, speakers, books, etc. I've even stood on it on occasion (170lbs, still holding the computer). Never once have I worried that the frame would fail with this weight on it, and never once has it appeared to struggled to change height while bearing it. The included controller is sufficient for precise millimeter adjustments, and unlike the controllers I've used at work, the memory positions do not require holding the button. The display is easily legible even in bright light, and shuts off in about a minute after adjusting position (useful if the desk is in a bedroom and the occupant is sensitive to light). The motors are quiet enough to not be bothersome while changing height. The collision detection also works as it should. My desk straddles a radiator, and even if I accidentally lower the desk too far, the frame will stop and return to a safer height. Placing the controller and assembling the rest of the frame was straightforward. The instructions are clear, and the parts are clearly labeled in the packaging. During assembly, I discovered the unique architecture of my apartment prevented me from finishing the build. However, when I called VIVO, I was given great support and even connected to an engineer who made measurements during our conversation. I was able to finish the build exactly how I wanted it despite my unusual circumstances. Pros: - Straightforward assembly - Flexible configuration allows it fit in a small NYC apartment without issue - Reliable construction and motors - Excellent customer service - Convenient controller - Large height range Cons: - Assembly can be more flexible, such as supporting the return leg in either direction - No built-in cable routing at any leg to wall power Overall, this frame is a safe buy. There are now multiple other options for L-shaped standing desk on Amazon, but I cannot speak to their quality, convenience, or customer support. Customers can rest assured buying this frame will let them shape the desk to the exact shape they want with reliable parts, a convenient controller, and excellent support for a DIY product. ... show more

  • High quality sturdy desk frame at a reasonable price
Color: Black
Very good solid frame. No top included (this was intentional - I used my existing desk top with it). Came with all parts easily labeled for assembly. It is heavy so you probably will need help getting this thing built, especially at the end of the process when you need to attach the desktop and then flip it over. The motors are fast and not too loud. And the desk feels very sturdy with minimal shake even at its highest setting. I’m 6 foot three and the highest setting is probably a good 6 inches too tall for me so this is a great option for really tall people And really short people as it goes down to about 2 feet off the ground. I had an issue with the control panel, arriving with a plastic wrap that ended up transferring onto the unit, but I was able to get a hold of customer service quickly and a new unit has been shipped to me and on the way. Appreciate the fact that I was able to get support without too much headache or trouble. ... show more

  • Very sturdy, nicely balanced, well built, and quite
Color: Black
These legs are amazing! I live in a mountain area and my home slightly slanted, luckily the legs have adjustable knobs that allowed me to perfectly balance them. I used a couple butcher blocks stained black, and the screws that came with the legs locked them in perfectly! The included brackets to secure 2 table tops together where a god send. It’s really seems like manufacturer truly cares because they thought of everything I need before I realized I needed it. I was worried that the heavy butcher blocks would sag or droop. especially in the corner where it seems like there’s less support. I’m happy to say, the desk is solid! And I’m a big guy, leaning my weight on the desk isn’t an issue at all. As long as the legs are properly centered with the top, it’s amazing! The motor is quiet. I work from home in a call center like job, I can adjust the desk mid call and the sound never gets picked up by my mic. Granted, the mics provided do cancel quite background noises, but a motor that’s quite enough to be canceled blows my mind. I have a lot on my desk, and legs are able to extend to the fullest length. Whether the desk is low, raised, or while moving, there is no rocking, no vibration, or shaking. Everything stays in its place. It smoothly glides up and down, with no abrupt jerky stops. It’s well worth the money. I appreciate it, and my back does too! ... show more

  • Great desk for home office and/or battlestation Great desk for home office and/or battlestation
Color: White
This desk was exactly what I was looking for in a very large, sit/stand desk with a motorized height adjustability in a 'L' configuration. The overall build quality is exceptional and I couldn't be happier with the final product. Assembly was very straight forward with the clear instructions and took me about 20-30 minutes start to finish, not including installing the desk top. All of the parts seem to be of very high build quality and the manufacturer provides everything you will need to assemble the frame and wire the individual motors together with adequate cable extensions. It is a very sturdy product and is on the heavier side so it is probably best if you have someone there helping you, especially when you go to install whichever desk top you pick. One of the bonus features of the metal frame is that cable management becomes really simple and clean using magnetic tie downs/holders. The desk function as good as any desk I've personally used with rock solid stability in either sit or stand positions. The height adjustment is extremely simple to use and program your favorite 4 positions. My wife also really appreciates this desk when she's cleaning our office because having the desk fully extended up makes for easy cleaning underneath. Ultimately this desk frame is the perfect size for anyone wanting a large L shaped desk with the flexibility to change how long or short you want your desk to be. I could not recommend this desk anymore! ... show more

  • Great desk so far though has a big drawback for some
Color: Black
First off, my top is butcher block in two sections. 30"x60" and 30"x48". I like the option to sit in the corner and rest my arms on each side of the "L" for comfort and support during long days. I liked that it came with steel plates for underneath the 2 wood pieces to better support the top. The other thing I wanted to do was add casters to the base So I could easily move the desk out occasionally to clean, etc... The screwed in legs are M8-1.25m, so getting casters was easy. Went with some steel heavy weight bearing ones. This is where I found the desk's weakness. In the back corner leg (without the "T" base), the threaded mount to accept the screwed in adjustable leg (at the floor) is displaced below the plate. This offset makes that part weak. When I put a caster in it, that part bent. The caster post/bolt was fine. This is when I pulled off the bottom plate held on by 4 hex screws and found something problematic that doesn't affect the other legs. The threaded adjustable leg mount is a compression fit piece and isn't welded. The compression joint failed and bent. That means even slightly pulling the desk with it's standard legs would bend that mount. Who doesn't occasionally move a desk? Thought about just welding it but thought I can do better by just getting a T base foot that's on the other legs. I looked for vivo desk parts for this desk which would have the T base foot with no luck. I then found another site online which has a similar sized T base foot at up-lift desk. the v1 24" T foot worked great for 35 bucks. Had to drill out the 4 screw holes as the vivo plate holes didn't exactly match. Now I have a great desk that spins on the floor with no ill effect. Too bad vivo doesn't supply this foot by default. I still rate this desk a 4 star as everything else about the desk is solid. If you don't drag it, you'd probably be fine. ... show more

  • Desk is great, but the support blew me away
Color: White
Had this desk since mid-2023 and honestly no complaints for the first couple years. Solid L-shaped standing desk, triple motor, does exactly what it's supposed to. Then one of the leg motors started making a grinding noise every time I adjusted the height. Figured I'd reach out to support and brace for the runaround but NOPE! They asked for a video, had their techs look at it, and they handled it. No arguing, no "sorry that's not covered," nothing like that. At first they sent me a replacement control panel for free. That fixed the main issue but the grinding was still there. Told them about it and they said they'd send a replacement leg. Turns out they didn't have the part in stock, so instead they just shipped me an entire replacement frame. Like, the whole thing. Got it, swapped it out, desk is running perfectly now. Two and a half years of daily use and they still took care of me without any hassle. Didn't expect that at all. Will 100% buy VIVO again and already been telling people about it. ... show more

  • Loving this
Color: Black
I have been using this desk base for a couple of months now and am very happy with the purchase. I love that you can program several different height settings, and haven’t had any issues with the mechanism operating. The base is very sturdy and operates smoothly. The only thing I wish that I could change would be to make the setup more customizable. If you are using two desktops the longer desktop needs to be on the left side so it can be supported properly. I wish there were a couple more support arms so this didn’t matter. Overall I think this is a great desk base though and a good price compared to other options. ... show more

  • Is it worth it?…YES! Is it worth it?…YES!
Color: Black
I purchased the V130 EB model… And I have to say it’s sturdier than I thought it would be. Writing this review for those who are looking to use custom table tops (please read the warning and tips if you plan on using heavier tops) Sitting at the desk writing the review right now, and I’m very pleased with the quality of both the movement and form. I still have a bit of tidying up to do with the cables, but even at full height, there is barely any give or wobble. !!! Warning and Tips !!! If you plan to use their tabletop, then follow their instructions, exactly. However!!! if you plan to use heavier table tops do not flip over the finished desk to make it upright more than likely, the square brackets used to join the two pieces together will not be sufficient to support that movement and you run the risk of damaging your table top (likely). Personally, I’m not even sure I would do this with lighter table tops that have to be joined either. I wanted a very nice look so I ended up going with IKEA kitchen table tops Saljan model to be exact. I purchase two 74 x 25 5/8 at a thickness of 1 1/2 this way if I needed to do any heavy duty mounting underneath, I’d have no issues at all. I used a circular saw and proper methods to cut down the second slab to the ideal length to complete the L shape. In terms of installation, I thought the instructions were a breeze. You just have to be careful looking at the orientation and think carefully on how to proceed. Because I did not flip the finish table over this made things much much easier imo. What I ended up doing was setting up the table as instructed and rather than flipping it I unscrewed everything, and just flipped the frame (without the mounted table top ) and mounted the table tops after the frame was upright. Aligning the drilled holes underneath the table top to the frame. Looking back I could’ve have probably just drilled potted holes and once the frame and brackets were in the ideal position lock everything(in the frame) in place and then flip the frame. But when I try to flip the finished desk, I knew just by looking at the give in the joint table section that there was no way this was going to flip over without breaking. Each of the kitchen table tops for IKEA were 70 pounds each. additionally, I think going with the heavier table top gives a lot more rigidity to the desk itself. The sound of the motors are a bit louder than I expected, but not annoyingly so. The only thing that scared me at first was looking at the box that got shipped. It was almost completely damaged in ruins. I guess shipping companies don’t care anymore lol. However I think VIVO anticipates this given how heavy this box is and so there was tons of packaging and foam. Nothing was damaged or scratched. Happy customer. All in all five out of five. 👏 remember, get a heavier table top! ... show more
