I bought two of these and I initially was going to go for white legs with a white top and my friend talked me out of the white top because she has a white topped table and it shows all the dirt and the black top was cheaper so I went with black top with white legs because my office is blue with white accents. The black actually helps to hide some of the cabling on top of the desk (not much you can do underneath because the cables need to travel as the table goes up, but I velcro strapped mine together as much as possible. That being said, ironically, the black does also show dust and other debris pretty easily. I don't personally mind this because it reminds me to clean the top often :) There are only a few things to worry about with a table like this. Is it sturdy enough to stand at? Will it raise and lower what I want to put on it? Does it look professional? Those were my concerns. The answer to all of them is YES. These are great tables. I have about 125lbs on the one with the big keyboards on it (I used a Vivo dual monitor table mount to mount the synthesizer above the large silver keyboard - I just modified the ends with ball ends from the hardware store and put some sticky dashboard foam grip padding on top of the arms) So far it has raised and lowered them about 20 times with no signs of any issues. It does wobble a bit when all the way up with that much weight on it, but that's physics. The legs are super heavy and I have no fear of this table tipping over or anything like that, I'm just mentioning it so that people don't think this table will be immovable at full height.... The other table with the computers has well under 100 lbs. I'm not sure the exact weight, but that small music keyboard is sitting on a Mount It laptop table clamp mount. Vivo's was not available to ship right away, so I went with the Mount It brand. It seems sturdy enough, but the Vivo products do feel a little better manufactured to me. Both tables will wobble if you shake them at any height, but for regular work and playing the keyboards, I find them perfect and very sturdy. The model I got doesn't have memory positions, so you have to manually adjust it to your desired height, but for me this was a good savings because I have visual indicators on the walls (shelf, posters etc) that help me get it exactly where it was last time and it really isn't that hard to tell where you like it anyway and it is super smooth even to move it only a half an inch or so. My only issue with operation is that if I just hold my finger on the button as it goes up, my finger tends to slip off the button sometimes, so I just hold the back of the controller when I raise and lower it to help keep my finger on the button as it moves. Other than that, these are awesome tables! OH, as for assembly, the instructions are good on these and everything was included with mine including tools except for a phillips head screwdriver (you can get the legs and tops separately, but I got the table top and legs together, so the top had pre-drilled holes which made assembly even easier as I did not have to measure or drill anything when attaching the legs to the top). I did modify them slightly for my needs, but assembly was very straightforward and easy. The first table took me about an hour, but I was taking my time and double/triple checking everything as I went. The second table took less than a half an hour after doing the first one. The legs are VERY heavy, so if you're not comfortable assembling heavy things, I would recommend having two people to help hold stuff as you go.... Lastly, these ship direct from Vivo, not from amazon and it was quicker shipping than anything I've bought on amazon lately. I had them in two business days! I highly recommend these tables as well as the VIVO double monitor mount (VIVO Premium Aluminum Dual Monitor Pneumatic Spring Arms Desk Mount Stand, Fits 2 Screens up to 32 inches (STAND-V102G2)) I had to get the heavy duty one to make sure it would hold my 34 lb. synthesizer but that thing is SUPER heavy duty and well made and I'm sure it would work great with monitors on it too! The desk is actually pretty heavy duty and definitely worth the money paid, at least for the frame. The tabletop is another story though. All in all assembly of the desk legs, installing the motor arms that connect the two sides and everything there was relatively easy. We (my fiancé and I) managed to get the legs put together with a little bit of team work. Because these are so heavy (pretty thick steel and with a weighty motor on one leg) you can't assemble this desk easily upside down by placing the legs on the tabletop and then flipping this over. This means measuring exactly where you want the legs to go to be ideally placed on your chosen tabletop is very difficult. The pieces that attach to the frame (the adapter holder and the dual purpose cable channel/motor arm protector) are fine, but also a pain to install. We managed to strip the hex head screws on one of the cable channel things so not only is it loose, but it's also unable to be removed. I'll remove the stripped screws eventually and just toss the metal cable channels into the recycling. There are better options available that I can attach with just 3M strips or something less frustrating. The controller feels pretty nice and is very responsive, with a chunky vinyl cable connecting to the motor. The motor itself isn't loud at all. If you were in the same room with someone else sleeping it wouldn't disturb them too much unless they were very light sleepers. Once we got the frame together, we had to try to use the VIVO pre-drilled tabletop, and let me tell you: this almost caused us to break off the engagement (kidding, but not really). The tabletop has almost zero useful instructions other than "Mount the desktop to the desk frame using screws." You have to size the frame to the tabletop you are using, so a simple "The pilot holes for the frame on the 60" VIVO pre-drilled desktop are 47.75 inches apart" would have saved us at least an hour of measuring, adjusting and cussing loudly. Or just some guidance on the ideal spacing for a custom tabletop too (eg- "The legs should be no more than X inches from the edge of your tabletop) Either way, the predrilled tabletop was almost more trouble than it was worth. The finish on the tabletop is nice though, and it is decently thick, so you can definitely mount other items on the bottom with ease I'd recommend buying a USB hub or something to mount on the underside for plugging in things like headphones, controllers or other USB peripherals. It's also sturdy enough that putting a nice monitor mount device would also not be a terrible strain on the structure. I think if I had to re-do this in the future, I probably wouldn't buy the actual VIVO tabletop. The frame is totally worth the money, but I might have had less stress in my relationship if I just bought a similarly sized chunk of countertop from Ikea and drilled my own dang pilot holes. So overall, it still gets 5 stars from me simply because the frame is a nice, sturdy thing.

I spent a solid 2 weeks reading up on all the "best adjustae desks" to buy. Most were in the $600-$1500 range which shattered my heart. Then there were the $200-300 ones on Amazon that no website was really talking about, though I could imagine why--when comparing a Porsche to a Corolla, it's hard to argue for one or the other. Anywho, these are my thoughts on this specific desk: --SETUP: Easy peazy. Took maybe an hour. Includes all tools and hardware (minus a pre-drill bit if the screw holes in the table top don't match up with your frame setup perfectly. All hardware (screws, wrenches, etc) were in a nearly labelled plastic pouch that separated components really nicely. --FEEL OF THE FRAME: Heavy and heavy duty. When I pieced it all together, I was pleasantly surprised at how solid and weighty of a frame it felt like. I was worried that for under $300 I was gonna get something cheap. --DESK TOP: I bought the 63 inch one and for being particle board with a (laminate?) cover, it feels really sturdy. I imagine it may not hold up well to water spills or getting scratched by something sharp, but when it comes to holding up my PC tower, monitor, keyboard, laptop, printer, and sub, it doesnt flex and feels pretty darn solid. --THE MOTOR: I was kind of bummed when I bought this because I didn't realize it was a single motor table and thought I would be underwhelmed by one motor powering the desk. But to be honest, it goes up and down like a champ. Maybe I don't know what I'm missing with a dual motor setup, but for what it is, the single motor easily powers my full desk up and down. PS: There are no preset seat heights like other electric desks... But again, being honest: Who cares? I just hold the button down for 10 seconds and it's where I need it to be. --STABILITY: Okay, so in every online review of all the tables I looked up they all talk and wobble and stability. For me as a novice desk owner, again I could be speaking from ignorance since I've never owned a high end desk, but the wobble? It's not a problem to me in the slightest. At its low heights, it's pretty non-existent. At higher heights, sure--If I intentionally move the desk with my hands it wiggles a bit. But do I notice it while I'm working? No. At least for me--for all the chatter about "you need a stable desk," this one is not out of control and I've got no real complaints about it. (My theory is that as a certain price, the only thing for reviewers to write about is wobble...because everything else is the same. --SUMMARY: In short, I couldn't be more excited to own the desk (weird thing to say). I thought I would want a solid wood table top or something, but this feels pretty premium as a whole and I'm pleasantly surprised at the build quality. I know I haven't owned a higher-end desk...but this one is pretty darn good. (Also, I haven't had any issues with the motor working. Again, this isn't to say others didn't have issues but mine feels solid at the moment). The end.

I have an APEX 71" desk, which costs about double what I paid for the VIVO 71". Needed a second desk and didn't want to spend the extra money. This desk, considering price, isn't too bad. At lower height levels, it feels fairly solid. When raised all the way, it does have a bit of sway in it, although not enough to where I thought it was going to topple over. Motor so far works ok, no issues. Height adjusted as expected. I went for a gray top and it looks very nice. Size at 71" was exactly what I wanted. Legs look like they are painted very well and I don't expect to see any chipping. Depth is good for what I'm using it for. Putting it together was quick and fairly pain-free. UPS had delivered and as usual, anything over about a foot in size is subject to damage due to how they constantly mishandle shipping. Desk came in two boxes and looked like they had been through the ringer. Holes, dents and even one end of the box torn open. Due to their poor service, some screws and dowels were lost during transit. Got hold of VIVO and they shipped me replacements within 4 days. Time to assemble was maybe 30m. Needed to drill two holes and rest were already piloted. Only thing I wasn't crazy about on this desk was that it is a 3 piece top. The seam isn't extremely obvious after you assemble and I haven't had any stability issues related to it, although just another crack to gather dust. Would likely purchase another though if needed because of cost. Comparing this to the APEX, you get what you pay for. The APEX costs double and weighs about double. It is one solid piece top and much higher quality material overall, including dual lift motors. I've had it for 8 years and it looks like new, still works like when I put it together. I had put several holes in it for mounts and things over the years and can say the quality of the top didn't suffer. I've yet to drill holes in this VIVO desk, so I can't say for sure how well it will survive. Don't have any hints that it won't work.

Working from home is a joy. Really. But even the wondrous realization that you no longer have to commute 88 miles (round trip) to work and back every day lose its luster when you work from a pub-height kitchen table that isn't quite the right "fit." I'd enjoyed the luxury of an adjustable height desk at work and after several months apart, there was simply no denying that what we had was real. While I knew I could not have THAT desk, a desk with those all-important features was absolutely necessary. I shopped for a month and decided on this one because it was 60" long, would accommodate my 3 monitors, would adjust to the height I needed, would be the right footprint for my home office and - to my amazement - was only $279. I looked everywhere - from Costco to Offerup and could not find a better desk for a better price. So I ordered it and counted the days. The seller was merciful - as were the Amazon Prime delivery folks and I had my desk a full 9 days ahead of schedule. It arrived in two boxes. I pounced these boxes as soon as I clocked out for the day and while it took me about 2 hours to put it together (by myself while watching The Gilmore Girls reruns 'cause that's how I roll), I am convinced that folks not on the registry for the 'Mechanically Declined' while have an easier time. My advice? When the instructions say you need a drill, just go get the drill. Don't do what I did which is to grapple with the desk top for 48 minutes, convinced that the "drill" part is discretionary and that you can get the job done with just a screwdriver. You can't. It's astonishing how much more quickly the process went when I gave up and walked the anguishing 80 feet to retrieve the drill. Even with me in the equation, the setup was surprisingly easy. It is sturdy, looks sleek and elegant and I have no idea how I worked from the kitchen table before - ever. This is it. I have found the 'True North' of the remote worker. There'll be no living with me now.

4.5yr update (Mar 2025): Still use this desk 5 days a week for work and it still works/looks great. I don't raise and lower it as much any more because I have a toddler that likes to press the buttons so I mostly leave it unplugged. But it definitely still works perfectly. My SO has the same one in all black that he got at the same time and his is also just as good as ever. --- ~2yr update (Aug 2022): I've been using this 5+ days a week for almost 2 years now and I still love it. Looks great, works great, I raise and lower it every day with no issues. I don't have an updated photo but I have my laptop (pictured) and two additional monitors (two of the ones pictured) hooked up to monitor arms, all comfortably fit along with a small desk lamp, my mouse and keyboard, a notebook, and various other items. Literally no complaints. --- 3mo update: Still beautiful and working great, no issues with table or electronics. --- Just put it together and it seems really nice and solid. The tabletop looks nice and is one piece. The legs feel sturdy. Putting it together took about an hour to an hour and a half. I am not very handy but put it together by myself (with help setting the tabletop on the legs as a convenience, though I'm sure I could have done it alone). All the necessary pieces and tools were there aside from a drill for attaching the tabletop to the legs at the very end. If you make your own holes, you will definitely need a drill, but there are holes already started for you to use. I used a drill for this but you might be able to use a screwdriver if you had to using the preset holes. The buttons are easy to press and the table moves up and down easily. It doesn't feel unsteady while moving. It has a nice range of height. At 5'4'', the lowest is great for me and I am definitely able to stand with this as I would likely never put this to the highest setting. The only thing I can't predict is longevity but I will try to remember to update at a later date if anything goes amiss.

I spent a fair amount of time researching sit/stand tables, and I have no regrets with this purchase. In the photo, you are seeing a 27" monitor diagonally, a 28" monitor horizontally, a laptop computer, and a desktop computer. Pros/Cons: Pros: - Roughly the same price as other brands, but a little longer than most - Looks great -- laminated top doesn't look cheap - Sturdy -- currently has a lot of weight on it, and it only shakes minimally when extended to full height - Motor is fairly quiet and smooth, only needing about 20 seconds to raise from shortest to tallest - Assembly is between easy and moderate, depending on your experience putting furniture together Cons: - This model does not have height presets. I haven't minded not having this feature, but it would be nice - I was able to put this together by myself, but some people may need a helper, as the parts are heavy and there are a few awkward steps. Instructions weren't great, but were adequate - The table top is actually about 59" x 23-5/8" -- not 60" x 24". Not a huge deal, but something that should be called out in the product description. Given the opportunity to make a desk purchase again, I would not change my decision. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and it has been a great desk so far.

I purchased this desk around two years ago when I needed a larger desk to work on for my studio setup. But this desk exceed expectations and held up very well. Building this is a pain, as I recall the instructions on what side to install the legs were difficult to figure out. But once done, it was a matter of making sure everything is secure. The desk comes with some small cable management nook underneath that helps with some of the mess I have with like 10 different cables for my setup. The desk is heavy, but with that comes with the reinforced support of the legs. Having a long bar run horizontally helps the desk feel more sturdy than wobbly. As you use it in standing mode, realize it will tend to wobble more depending on weight. Lower is better personally. As of now there hasn't been anything that made me dislike the desk despite my choice of a narrow tabletop. If I could go back, I would likely get a bigger 60 x 30 inch for the extra depth. I have two monitors, one weighs 15 lbs the other is a 27in. If I had to add a third monitor I’m sure the desk could support it. For any budget-seeking buyers this is a good desk to have.
