Description

In the fastest conditions, on the smoothest dry hardpack, no tire flies like the Vittoria Terreno XC Race mountain bike tire. The tread, the casing, the compounds – everything is engineered for speed when speed is everything. The Terreno’s revolutionary fish scale tread pattern rolls smoothly on straightaways and bites while cornering and braking, and the gradual transition from the center strip to the shoulder knobs takes the awkward bum- up out of cornering.

  • Fast and amazing handling
Size: 29x2.25
29" tubeless ready urban style mtb tires are practically nonexistent. These are an amazing option for going fast and handling curves/turns on pavement. They also do great on dirt shoulders and off road hard pack thanks to the lateral knobbies and interesting tread design. I have about 300 miles on these so far and I am super confident in these tires. ... show more

  • Excellent traction!
Size: 29x2.25
Tires were promptly delivered and fit well on my Mt. Bike. They are rated at 58 psi and I did my first ride at 50 psi which was plenty. For trail rides will reduce to 40. On gravel the directional stability is great. On paved surface the tires perform ok -- can hear the tread noise. I had smooth tires on before rated at 100 psi and they were much quieter. These Vittoria are easy pedaling and will hopefully last longer. ... show more

  • Best xc type tire hands down!
Size: 29x2.1
Great tire for exactly what I wish to use it for. Long 100+ mile distances with road and dirt paths. High pressure for asphalt and low pressures for dirt forest roads and dirt single track. Better than the Sch*#@le G-One!! ;)

  • Nice all-around tires.
Size: 29x2.25
Loving these tires so far. Low rolling resistance on pavement and handle gravel well. Look good too.

  • Se deformo el caucho!!!!!
Size: 29x2.25
A los pocos meses de haber comprado y los pocos kilometros recorridos en mi bicicleta MTB, se deformo el caucho trasero.

  • They look pretty but that is about it...
Size: 29x2.25
I bought these Vittoria Terreno's for use on pavement -- no gravel, dirt or anything else besides smooth roads. After having these for a year now, I probably have about 350 miles total on a pair (front / rear) on a spare wheelset for my Salsa Cutthroat. Two of those rides were 100-loops about Tucson on a bike path. The first time I had to stop and plug 3 holes (tubeless setup) to complete the ride. This past week, I did a second ride about the same bike path and the sidewall in the front tire started spewing Orange Seal (Endurance) from three spots for the last 57 miles of the ride and required a 4-oz refill and stopping to air the tire 14 times with a handpump. (the sidewall fibers delaminated and I couldn't even use an inner boot patch to repair.) The rear tire required a plug to stop spewing. In hindsight, tubed tires would have been better installed within given the fraility of the sidewalls. Everyone else riding with me on both rides with skinny roadie tires didn't have any tire issues or punctures. In comparison, when bikepacking across the desert, highways, gravel roads and more on Maxxis Ikon's (tubeless) -- I typically can get 3500-5000 miles per set within a year with no tire stoppages. This past summer, I did 2100 miles in four weeks bikepacking and not an issue with the Ikon's through rough terrain, trails and a minimum of smooth paved roads. These Vittoria Terreno's even with most of the new nubbies still on them -- they went into the trash yesterday. I'm tired of fixing them while riding. The people I ride with are tired of them. And I was frustrated enough I almost called AAA to come get me and my bike and transport home. Only reason I give them 2 stars instead of 1 is because they are pretty fast rolling when they work. But fixing alongside the road or The Loop way offsets their speed advantages they possess. ... show more

  • Color inconsistency!
Size: 29x2.25
Usually love these tires, but.....this purchase the tires showed up with a significantly different side wall shade. In the picture the old tire is at the bottom and the new one is at the top. I sent two emails to Vittoria to see if there was any explanation and there was no response at all. This was extremely disappointing as I have a history of being a loyal Vitoria customer. ... show more
