This is my second Vita mix and what can I say. I only had to get a new one because after 15 years my first one DISAPPEARED in a move! Best kitchen tool you will ever invest in. Yes, it is very, very well made. Makes great hot soup! My two have never disappointed me. It even cleans itself.

I purchased three Ascent X2 blenders and all of them stopped sensing when the jar is placed on the unit within 1-3 weeks. I returned the first two because I only had each of them for 1 week. This time I called Vitamix and they said try a new jar, which I did and now the unit detects the new jar. Why the same issue happened to three separate units is a mystery because I am careful with the jars not to get them wet on the spindle mechanism. ... show more
