I made butternut squash soup the day I received it and it was so easy and absolutely delicious and super creamy. I am a Vitamix converter and believer! Don’t know that I would go back to any other brand now. So happy with my purchase! I’ve only made smoothies so far, but they always come out so amazingly good! Every smoothie comes out smooth, rich and tasty. Not to mention it’s so easy to clean! I had a Ninja before this and I was staying at a friend’s house who had a Vitamix. I had a smoothie there and thought this is good, but I’m not seeing how it’s any better than the ones I make with my Ninja. Well, after having a smoothie made with Vitamix and going back to have one with my Ninja I realized the difference. The smoothies come out so much better. They honestly taste more flavorful! I think it’s the blending power truly makes a difference. And I love how easy it is to clean! I used to avoid making smoothies sometimes because I hated cleaning my blender but this is a cinch! I'd coveted Vitamix blenders for quite some time, but found the price just a bit too steep. Then I was told by a friend about reconditioned models. I found this one on sale, reconditioned, for $279 and decided to make the leap from my average blender to this, the paragon of the industry! It's powerful, fast, versatile, and clean up is so easy! My old blender is going to college with my son, and I'll happily make him smoothies, hummus, sauces, soups, and nut butters when he comes home to visit. Because I got such an amazing deal, I ordered the 48oz pitcher as well, and as many have said, it is better for smaller batches. My only regret is that I replaced my dead, 25 year old blender a year ago (spent about $60) and didn't upgrade to Vitamix then. ... show more

I know most people wouldn't imagine spending this much money on a blender but if you're looking for a machine that lives up to all the hype, look no further. This thing is a beast. I make protein shakes every day and for years I've struggled to find a blender that could simply blend up all the ingredients upon first try (a decent blender would usually take a few tries to grind up all the frozen ingredients), not Vitmax though. This blender has no problem breaking all of the ingredients down into one delicious perfectly blended smoothie in 50 seconds flat. It's amazing. I wish I wouldn't have waited this long (and spent hundreds of dollars on cheaper blenders) to invest in something this great. The refurbished model looks and works as if it were brand new and comes with a 5 year warranty. Absolutely recommend this product for anyone that uses blenders frequently. Yes, there are other products out there but nothing compares to this blender. Worth every penny! ... show more

Overall, I think Vitamix A2500 is stronger than my old Blentec. But the winds comes from the side of the body really bothers me everytime I use it. Blentec never emits that kind of wind as far as I remember I didn't find any scratches on this renewed Vitamix container or body . I think you must use the plastic bar to help ice curshed finely. I found that using the bar that comes with the machine is far more efficient that adding enough liquids. ... show more

    • I thought a ninja made smoothie was smooth, but now i know better.

Ive used a ninja to make a smoothly almost every morning the last 5 years. I was always happy with what came out. The ninja started winding down though (burning smells, accessories breaking) and I got an itch for a Vitamix. I justified the extra cost by the fact you can make soup and a couple dozen odd things. A few months later though and I can safely say, that will never happen. It does make a damn fine smoothie though. Its actually.... Smooth. I thought a ninja made smoothie was smooth, but now i know better. So theres that and the fact that you can quickly rince it out, fill it 60% with warm water and a squirt of dish soap and put it on the smoothie setting a second time and it will clean itself. Takes me longer to cut and wash the fruit than it does for the vitamix to make a silky smooth drink and clean itself. ... show more

This blender is not like any other I’ve owned. I’ve spent money on “professional grade” blenders and although they worked well, they never fully blended out certain textures in things. The Vitamix is not cheap; however, it is definitely worth every penny! I use this almost everyday and it is amazing!! Green smoothies, milkshakes, frozen drinks, dips, sauces, and hot soups are all of the things I’ve made so far — and they’ve all turned out great! Frozen items sometimes get stuck, but if you move things around a little, it’ll keep going to give a thick, frozen consistency. I thought about buying this for half a year, and I wish I would have just gotten it after now knowing what I know. Absolutely love this thing, but wish it came with smaller attachment(s), as all I have is the large 64 oz container. ... show more
