I rec. an email from Viridian today that advises the RFX11 is NOT compatible with the Calif. compliant version of the LCP MAX because of the loaded chamber indicator on the top of the slide. They advised me to return it via Amazon.) Love this little sight for my LCP Max! May I offer a caution for other buyers so that they do not make my same stupid mistake that is no fault of Viridian? My LCP Max is a Calif compliant version with a top chamber loaded indicator. Before permanently installing this optic sight after removing the rear sight successfully with a sight pusher , I wanted to see if this Viridian optic would interfere with the top of slide chamber loaded indicator. I made the FOOLISH MISTAKE of trying to put the slide and barrel back into battery with an empty cartridge lifting up the loaded chamber indicator ... but WITHOUT FIRST REINSTALLING THE SIDE DISASSEMBLY PIN. Big mistake. The little gun is now hopelessly jammed with the barrel, slide, and empty cartridge lodged stuck. I am now awaiting an RMA from Ruger to unscrew my screw-up. You will love this little sight ... especially if you have old eyes. ... show more

Easy to mount. Dot is bright and easy to find fast. Although I heard that green dots are better for people with astigmatisms, I don't see a material difference in flare from red dots. 3 MOA is advertized as the dot size but this dot appears larger....which is fine for me in a carry run to get on target faster. I have found that it carries comfortably - there are no sharp corners to poke or scrape you when carrying IWB. No comment on battery life or long term durability since this requires more time. ... show more

Received yesterday. I have tried reflex sights from $20 to $500. This is the worst I have ever used. I got back and removed this from my PR57. Hopefully I can find someone to give this away to. I will probably stick with Iron sights on pistols. Looking through this it is extremely hard to find the dot. Even the range officer said it was terrible. We spent almost an hour trying to sight this in. I should've just bought a HOLOSUN. That sighted in easy on my PS90 and the grouping shows where the money went. ... show more

Pros: Clear glass, no distortions in the glass itself. Bright dot in daytime. Properly dimmed dot at nighttime. Shake awake has never failed. Auto off feature works and saves battery life. Rubber cover is helpful when in storage. Cons: Glass dimensions are just too small, i.e. too tiny to be useful at arms length, i.e. takes too long to find the dot in such a small sight (only 22mm wide, 16mm tall) when it is 2.5 feet from your eye. Glass scratches a little too easy to suit me, guess I was expecting something a little more resilient like a cell-phone-screen-level of scratch resistance? Misc: Open sights are much quicker to use or a red dot with a much larger lens window. I personally need something larger in both X (22mm) and Y (16mm) directions. ... show more

Got this and was a little bit skeptical that it would be a quality green dot, but this thing works great. Not only does this look great on a Taurus gun because it has the Taurus logo, it has a crisp Green Dot. The fact that it comes with the picatinny rail adapter so you can use it with any picatinny rail makes this a no-brainer. ... show more

I rather hate giving this 3 stars, for my uses it deserves 1, but it may be my problem, and not the sight's. The unit seems well made, and it seems to work, but the green dot flairs so much that it is unusable to me. It may be caused by my astigmatism. I have a number of red dots (Burris, Shield, Vortex) and I haven't had this problem with flair, or starburst effect. But, this is my second green dot (the other is a Holosun) and I've had the same issue with both. In fact, I sent the Holosun back to the factory and they sent me a new one, but still, the green dots flair terribly in low or indoor range lighting. Outdoors they seem fine, but in indoor artificial light the flair is so bad that the sights are nearly impossible to accurately aim the gun. But, like I said, since I'm having the same problem with 2 green dots, the problem may be mine instead of the sights'. So, for someone without astigmatism the rating may be a 4 or 5, but for me I'm being generous at a 3. ... show more

Very good optic. It is hard to find a 3 MOA Green Dot optic but Viridian has this one at a good price. It has a 30,000 hr battery life, shake awake and auto shutoff and brightness built in. I recommend it for pistols. I now have 2 of them and they work as advertised.
