This isn't a top of the line cue, under any circumstances. I bought 2 of these, one for me (intermediate level) and one for my girl (novice). I was pleasantly surprised with mine. I got it in brown, and it was nice to see it was naturally stained wood, not a decal unlike many other lower end cues. I actually love the way it looks. If I didn't know any better, I would have guessed this cue to be priced much higher. If you have the money to spend on higher end cue, do that. If your budget is <150, you can't go wrong with this one. Take the difference and buy a good case for it, because this cue is worth it.     • Very nice pool cue
I've ordered a bunch of pool sticks here on Amazon, nothing too expensive, and this is the nicest one. Looks sharp and has a good feel to it. The unvarnished thinner end slides easily thru your hand during a shot. Sometimes the varnished ones stick to my fingers, but I haven't need any powder with this stick. The tip on this stick was ready to use right away. I'm only a beginner/casual player and didn't think the stick would matter much, but I prefer using this one whenever I practice or play with friends and neighbors. ... show more

Let me start of by saying I am for the most part a beginner player but I can still hold my own with friends that have been playing for years. This cue is great. I have a friend that ordered another high end stick from a different manufacturer and his end fell off probable after the 10th game. This viper stick is still holding strong 100 games in. Also let it be known I don’t break with this cue. Maybe that’s why his failed but either way I highly recommend. For the money this stick is the best out there. Hope this review helps ... show more

Really nice cue stick! Especially for the price. I purchased this for myself and habe shared it with my husband while playing pool. He looked at custom cues after using this. The custom ones were easily three times the price of this cue and he likes this one better. He decided not to purchase a custom one. So, I've ended up giving him my cue. He's loving it! It is made very well, weighted nicely, sjoots straight as an arrow, looks amazing and the grip on it feels great! The feel of the shaft is nice also and rarely, if ever, needs powder for an easy glide. ... show more

Was so super excited to find a camo stick but..The string on the hand grip comes apart within a month of playing. Love the camo but super annoying to play when every time you take a shot and the string slides around. Second stick from Viper that has done this. Not buying from this manufacturer again sadly. ... show more

Quality of the cues seems good, however 2 of the 4 I ordered were damaged when I got them. One was actually so badly broken its barely still together. The box wasnt damaged so I'm thinking they were damaged when they were put in the box. If the new ones arrive damaged, I'm returning them all and will buy somewhere else. ... show more

Returned 1st cue as the weight was incorrectly marked without any problems. Received replacement and the weight was spot on, but there is a small mismatch in diameter at the joint of the two pieces. I will just use it as is ☹

I ordered a 20 oz. cue but got a 19 oz. I contacted the supplier (GLD Games) and they said this was an Amazon issue. I decided not to go through the hassle of returning, since I might eventually buy a 19 oz. anyways and the cue seems to shoot well (much better than my cheap ones) and the price was right. If you are concerned with getting an exact weight, might want to avoid Amazon (hope you are listening Amazon...). ... show more
