    • Yes, this is a Slip On
I needed slip on shoes with good arch support. Everyone's different but these shoes are great for me! I did not mess with the laces at all and had to use a shoe horn to put the on the first two times. But now they slip on quite easily. To me there's a difference between Slip On and Step In. These are not, for me, Step Ins due to the small opening for inserting your foot and the lack of a stiff backing on the back of the shoe opening. But these are WONDERFUL shoes. Extremely comfortable and so far they seem to be helping my arthritic knees too!! I just ordered another pair. If you're new to buying shoes with arch support as I was you may have to try a couple times to get the right size. The inserts do make the shoe fit a bit differently. I found I absolutely had to have a Wide and I may have to go up a half size for some styles. ... show more

I purchased these shoes needing something with great arch support and stability. I am so pleased with these shoes. They fit my feet comfortably with socks. I don't have any issues with sliding or with my heel. The arch support is comforting. I am wearing them as much as I possibly can. I like these and they are comfortable, my only complaint is there's not a lot of give at the top part of the shoe instep, so getting them on isn't quite as easy as I would like. But they do have really good arch support. So I kept them. Hope they will continue to be comfortable for all day wear.

I can't think of a thing I Didn't like about this pair of Vionics. VIONIC shoes are the only brand of shoe i'lI ever purchase. My Podiatrist had a flyer that recommended them (that was 2015) & I'll never buy another brand of shoe. I am 73 in good health (except for my spine & knee lol) so I need a good, sturdy shoe. I have 14 pairs of Vionic shoes that range from slippers, to tennies, to dress shoes & others. These tennies are specifically for walking my dogs (a 16 yo Shibu Inu & 15 month old Cockapoo) & I can't be 2nd guessing the stability of my shoe when the puppy wants to smell every blade of grass in one direction & the Shibu Inu just wants to go back home. So far just putting on this pair of tennies are fantastic. The only problem is the cost! But they are more than worth it. When I was working I wish these shoes existed because my feet felt like cinder blocks by the time I got home. Happily they do exist now! Thank you Vionic people for making a great shoe! ... show more

I was trying to find a slip on, comfortable sneaker. I have had Sketchers that were comfortable, but I had to get an 8.5W to ensure I had enough room at the toes & ball of foot. Eventually, they started to dimple and look stupid in the front as they started caving inward at the toes... and they made a funny noise as I walked due to the heel having too much of a gap. 8.5 normal was to small so I stayed in the Wide. I decided to splurge a little and try Vionic... WOW!!! What I was missing! True to size. An 8.5 normal fits like a glove. I am supported and they are sooooo comfortable! Definitely with it! I love how these shoes look, but given the price, I might have to return. It is difficult to get my foot into the opening. Too difficult for so-called "slip on shoes." I want slip on shoes to be easy to put on. And my feet are not wide, they are closer to narrow than wide. Disappointed.

    • Foot Won't Go in the Shoe
My foot literally would simply not go into the shoe. I tried everything, but the opening just did not have enough "give" (flexibility) to allow my foot to enter the shoe, and although there are laces, there's no tongue to lift to make more room for your foot to enter the shoe. I have NEVER had this happen before. The shoe was the correct size (I even got it a half size bigger). I was very disappointed because I love all the Vionic open-toe, open-heel shoes I've bought in the past, which I've worn for years. I thought Vionic walking shoes sounded like heaven, but now instead I have to go through the headache of returning them. ... show more

    • There is not much padding on the bottom.
I like the fact these shoes are made for extra arch support. However when I use them for walking long distances I find the bottom of my feet hurt. I think they need more padding on the bottom.
