Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass is the title poem of the book & the first poem I wrote of many. Some of which came to me in their entirety, & some that I worked laboriously picking apart each word to make the perfect poem. They are eclectic & honest & not trying to be anything other than what they are & for that reason I'm proud of them - Lana Del Rey. The media could not be loaded. absolutely beautiful. this kind of poetry calms down my nerves, it really helps me. i’m also a huge lana fan and i’ve been listening to her for years. i’m not a book reader nor do i listen to a lot of poetry. but damn this book made me interested in sylvia plath!!! i only ordered the cd and vinyl on amazon so i guess it’s kinda pointless for me to really share everything, but this is a really good book. cd and vinyl came in good quality and are not damaged at all, very happy with the green vinyl. i love it, thanks :) ... show more

    • Not a color vinyl but still an excellent purchase!
The vinyl came as the standard black edition (even thought it was listed on the product page as a colored pressing), but I’m not too upset about that. Otherwise, the vinyl sounds amazing and crisp and came in perfect and timely condition. 10/10!

Disappointed. Vinyl cover has bent/crease at two corners. I'm a record collector who like to buy new records because they are in perfect condition. Just can't accept it since it's not supposed to be like this.

The people leaving negative reviews of this due to it being spoken poetry instead of music are insane. It’s a spoken poetry album. It’s never been listed or said to be anything else. It’s literally her poetry album based on her poetry book and called a spoken word poetry album. And it’s beautiful.

It's amazing to me that people are giving this bad reviews because it's poetry, and not a music album. It's right there in the description: "The recording includes 14 poems performed by Lana, accompanied by music from GRAMMY-winning songwriter/producer Jack Antonoff." Also, I'm not sure why anyone shopping for LDR music wouldn't know that this is not music... I guess they are just buying this without having any idea what it is. It's beautifully read and set to gentle music. If you enjoyed her poetry book, you will enjoy this too. ... show more
