Description

Vinyl LP pressing of this live release from the Grunge heroes. Recorded in November 1993, less than six months before singer Kurt Cobain killed himself, Nirvana's MTV Unplugged is a watershed document that presents a band at the peak of it's powers. Unlike any other unplugged affair, the diverse album is not a simple stripped-down regurgitation of greatest hits or a cash-it-in set of nostalgic favorites. Rather, the live effort is among the most emotionally naked spectacles ever released an album so starkly intense and profoundly personal, it's impossible not to get chills down the spine. The set list is as surprising as the stylistic makeover. Save for renditions of 'All Apologies' and 'Come As You Are', the adventurous material includes brooding covers of the Meat Puppets' 'Lake of Fire', 'Plateau', and 'Oh Me' as well as harrowing versions of David Bowie's 'The Man Who Sold the World', and the Vaselines' 'Jesus Don't Want Me for a Sunbeam'.

  • Good quality
I love that the sleeve it came with isn't those trash paper sleeves. The inside of the sleeve is lined with plastic

  • That I finally received my package the second time around.
First time I never received my package even though it said delivered. I asked for a replacement and they sent me one and I received it! So happy. Love it.

  • Wonderful album!
This album came packed super safely. The album itself came in a thick cardboard sleeve and then that was in a box also. So once I opened the album it was in absolutely beautiful condition! I believe this is a 180g album and it's made in Germany! Any album made in Germany will always be audiophile quality! So if you buy this album you definitely won't be disappointed! ... show more

  • Album great - but shipped in box without any packaging or protection
the album is great. the weight is good. sounds excellent. but whoever shipped it? threw it into a box (not the lp sleeve other LPs are mailed in) so that it just rattled around in shipping. had heavy things placed on top of it. Lucky it survived. So go to the Record Store in your local town and get it there. better safe than sorry. and it helps local businesses ... show more
