These things are so cheap. Half of the screws strip out and the wood will crack many times when you screw them in just normal with not much pressures. They are wobbly and flimsy and i am sure they won’t hold up for more than a month or two of use. They take forever to put together and the ones put together are just of bad cheap quality. Dissapointed.

We purchased the “VINGLI Folding Adirondack Chairs Set of 4, Wood Adirondack Chair for Outdoor, Foldable Fire Pit Chairs for Patio, BBQ, Porch, Yard, Pool” They did arrive 5 days from purchase two chairs per box wrapped in bubble wrap and some foam, hardware comes in its own bubble pouch with the provided tools. Assembly: The chairs take a while to put together about 30 minutes by hand for the first one the rest go a little faster These chairs are made of soft wood. This makes it easy for them to crack during assembly, especially if using a power tool to put them together. Best option is to do it by hand. Overtightening can cause the edges to crack no matter if it is by hand or power tool so be cautious during this process. I would not use the tools provided they are not worth the material they are made from. Tools needed #2 Phillips screwdriver for the screws #3 Phillips screwdriver for the threaded hardware (a #2Phillips will work if it’s all you have), a 13mm & 10mm wrench for the nuts. Assembly is straight forward with the instructions. Also don’t forget to remove the little stickers on each part as you complete the assembly process. Material finish: I find the surface not as smooth as I would like. It also absorbs not repels water so I do agree with another review a quality clearcoat on these will extend their life and prevent color change due to water damage or sun bleaching. Light weight Chair could use a cushion and wish it reclined the folding is good for storage when or transporting. I give it a 4 star ratting because for a wooden outdoor chair its not really weather proof it needs a water seal paint/stain. We still enjoy our purchase

These chairs gave me the look I envisioned for our deck and are a beautiful deep brown color, however they are not as durable as I thought they would be. I purchased four total for our deck. The assembly was pretty simple but I decided to paint a couple coats of polyurethane to prolong durability and avoid moisture settling into the wood. The arm of one of the chairs broke off after my husband sat in it. Other than that, I am very pleased with them.

wood is a very poor quality, tons of assembly, mold on some of the wood found inside of the packaging. Wood is more like balsa wood rather than a sturdy fir wood. Lots of wood chips during assembly and the finish chipping off. I bought 4 chairs and issues with every chair. I do not recommend this product.

I ordered 4 of these chairs in total. I would like to note, aesthetically, they are fairly nice to look at. Unfortunately, they are definitely light duty and I would lower their weight rating to 250lbs, not set it to 300lbs because I absolutely 100% guarantee, these will not hold someone 280+. Here are the reasons behind this. The wood is very light and very thin and the chairs are time consuming to put together. It is very draining. The woods width is 1/2" thick and is made out of a soft pine with a good few knots in the wood itself which if hit with a screw will cause cracking. The foldability of these is also a joke and I recommend tightening the entire chair up. Keep it loose at first to be able to maneuver the pieces together, then sit in it and let it pop and crack and squeak into its final resting place. Then tighten every bolt up that makes it able to fold, which it does not do very well and could break if you attempt to do so. After it is tightened up fully and unable to fold at that point, it is much more sturdy but still feels like a prop chair or decoration. I am 250lbs and this chair honestly scared me the first time I sat, and got up out of it. But with all those negatives they are great looking chairs that you can most certainly make more durable with a little extra time and money. So what I ended up doing was this. The back I put a brace vertically to offer additional support with just some epoxy wood screws. 1-1/4" all you need. I also screwed in some slats under the seat because there is no center brace. I then put 2 pieces of wood notched on the inside vertical of the legs themselves to double their thickness. After all said in done, I used water sealing spray to cover the entire chair, as the chair itself does not have a water proof finish on it. All in all, these are super duper cheap chairs, but they get 2 stars out of me only because I can make them better than what they are with a little extra money thrown into them... Yes I could of saved the trouble and bought chairs for 2x or 3x the price that would of been better by themselves, but this turned into a nice little project. If you do end up reinforcing these chairs. If you want wood to match the thickness and width, I recommend getting 1/2 x 2" and 1/2 x 3" furring strips. Their width comes out to 1-1/2 and 2-1/2" and it will line up with legs and work well for the slats as well. You could fill in the gaps on the seats too if you wanted and just use silicone on the bottoms if need be or tack nails with a pre drilled hole. That would work too. As for the color, I recommend a very dark Walnut. Darkest walnut stain you can fine, do not buy refinish, it is too light duty and wont darken up enough. If you miss any spots or need to cover up scratches in these chairs, walnut markers work. Now if you wanna do the exact reinforcements as I have, here are the measurements you need for the lengths. For the legs, you will need a 1/2 x 3 board cut into 2 pieces at 9". for each leg that will attach to the inside with a notch inwards coming out about 2" down the board and about an 3/4" inwards in order to make clearance as there is a board that runs across the bottom between the legs. For the seat slats, you need 2 pieces of 1/2 x 2 boards cut at 13-1/2" and place them under the seat slats about 3" from the sides inwards on both sides and screw directly down into the slats from the top so the screw is going downwards just like the other screws holding the seat down. For the back, you will need 2 pieces of 1/2 x 2 cut at 24" / 2' that will go vertical down the 3 braces on the back of the chairs back rest. these will help it from bowing and cracking on you in the future with usage.
