This is the second time I ordered this trellis. I had one in my old house veggie garden. The pros are that it is sturdy, very attractive and has enough metal on the sides to give my squash good climbing areas. The cons are that the directions were too small to be clear. I made several errors and had to undo the work I did just because I couldn’t understand the tiny diagram. Also, they shorted me one important screw which sent me searching through the garage trying to find a screw that would fit. It took me two hours to put it together. Also it has been up less than a month and I already see some rust. Still for the money, I would recommend it. Just have patience putting it together.

Its pretty and nice metal but I can't put it together because half the screws and nuts are missing. I did contact the seller but have not heard back. UPDATE: THEY FINALLY CONTACTED ME...and sent the correct hardware. The entire correct set. The other one was for another arbor. Yay. It looks terrific.

This is not a super heavy-duty trellis but it's not wimpy either. Long-term, I'd think it best for annual vines (morning glories, flowering beans (scarlet runner, hyacinth), moonflower, black-eyed susan vine, etc.), a well-mannered rose, and even some veggies (cucumbers, yardlong beans, etc.) and other relatively lightweight perennial vines like clematis, I would not use it for something like wisteria or a big rambling rose--both would overwhelm this arch's relatively petite frame after a year or two, I would expect. I will add a couple stakes/zip ties for added support out of caution, but I don't expect it to tip over or be blown down by wind. If it ever seems unsteady, will add a cross beam across the back to stabilize side to side sway. Assembly was relatively straight-forward, about 30-35 minutes total? All parts included (plus an extra screw), all holes aligned. I assembled the long top panel first, then attached that panel to the top side panels (which I leaned on the bottom side panels, which were temporarily "installed" to prop up the top side panels). At this point I had to undo some screws to add the curvy supports but that didn't take too much time/effort. I then turned the completed top section upside down and attached the lower panels that have the in-ground stakes. And done! Getting the assembled trellis to the upright position was not difficult as it is not very heavy. It's exactly as it appears and as described so if that's what you need, go for it!

I ordered two of these arches. They come with one page of instructions that my husband described as "Step 1" and "Step 2-99" in two pictures. So good luck figuring that out. Also, Neither arch had all the hardware that was indicated on the instructions. Three bolt lengths should be included, but only two actually were. This must be such a common occurrence that my local Ace Hardware was experiencing a shortage on the exact metric len6gth bolt needed. We wound up buying similar bolts that would work. Once assembled, though, they are very nice.

The media could not be loaded. It is affordable. I have never built anything before. Was pretty darn easy. 2 people would be easier but I did it in about an hour. It’s a nice accent piece in my garden. Buying another one already. I do need to hammer it down deeper so it’s more sturdy in a strong wind.
